Job Summary

We’re hiring a uniquely hybrid leader—part data engineer, part analytics architect, part business strategist—to build the end-to-end data and reporting foundation that powers our commercial engine and scales to support enterprise-wide analytics needs.

This role owns the commercial data lake, ETL pipelines, and business intelligence layer that unify data across Marketing, Sales, Client Services, Product, Finance, and Operations. You will architect the infrastructure, and serve as a thought partner to leadership in defining how the business measures performance, customer behavior, retention, campaign impact, operational efficiency, and revenue execution across the entire customer lifecycle.

While the primary focus is commercial analytics and GTM data systems, this role will gradually expand into a centralized data and reporting function for the full company.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

Data Architecture

  • Collaborate with Development/Data functions to design underlying data lake for future reporting
  • Own initially commercial-facing data lake, with end goal to scale to encompass all G&A functions as well
  • Build ELT/ETL pipelines from:
    • CRM (pipeline, accounts, touches)
    • Marketing systems (campaigns, spend, attribution)
    • Product usage data / engagement logs
    • Finance systems (billing, revenue, churn)
    • Other
  • Define data governance, standards, and data model structures (star schemas, SCD, fact/dim tables, etc.).
  • Ensure data reliability, accuracy, and consistency across all downstream systems.

Analytics & Insights

  • Develop reporting and models for:
    • Pipeline & funnel health
    • Marketing performance & ROI
    • NRR/GRR
    • Forecasting (revenue, pipeline, user growth, churn risk)
  • Identify leading indicators of commercial performance and operational bottlenecks.

Enterprise Reporting & BI Automation

  • Eliminate manual reporting by standing up automated BI pipelines.
  • Own the BI stack (e.g., Tableau / Looker / PowerBI).
  • Implement scalable metric definitions, data dictionaries, self-serve data models, and governance.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, CS, Product, Finance, and Executive teams.
  • Translate business requirements → data models → dashboards → insights.
  • Build a Commercial Analytics roadmap that evolves with the business.
  • Hire and scale a small analytics & BI team as the company grows.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in Commercial Analytics, Revenue Analytics, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Strategy & Ops roles.
  • Hands-on experience building data lakes/warehouses and ETL/ELT pipelines (Python, SQL/PostgreSQL, dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Databricks, Snowflake).
  • Deep understanding of commercial metrics:
  • Strong finance literacy (bookings, billings, revenue recognition preferred).
  • Proven ability to partner with GTM and Product teams to operationalize insights.
  • Experience architecting end-to-end data systems integrating marketing, sales, product, and financial data.

The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $155,000

Where you land within the range will reflect your skills, experience, and location, while keeping team parity in mind and leaving room for future growth.
