Department Overview
The CPS Applications team provides trusted, intelligent common services that streamline customer adoption and enable the secure, friction-free utilization of all Motorola Solutions (MSI) applications. The team's mission is built on three key pillars: accelerating time-to-value through frictionless onboarding, unifying the application ecosystem by building a secure core for a cohesive multi-app experience, and fueling business growth by providing operational intelligence to inform product strategy and sales. They serve a wide range of customers, including both internal MSI employees and external groups like department admins, IT admins, and end users, through services such as Unified ID SSO, Authorization (AMS), and Audit. Ultimately, the team acts as a strategic force multiplier across the MSI portfolio by delivering foundational services that simplify hybrid operations and innovate through AI-driven solutions.
Job Description

Motorola Solutions is “solving for safer” by building a sophisticated ecosystem of mission-critical communications, AI-powered video, and command center data. To support this vision, the Core Platform & Services (CPS) Applications team is seeking a Product Manager focused on Business Intelligence and Operational Analytics. This role is pivotal in transforming raw platform data into actionable insights, building the dashboards and analytical frameworks that allow internal leaders to monitor adoption, optimize costs, and drive strategic growth across the MSI portfolio.

Job Responsibilities

  • Define BI Strategy: Lead the roadmap for internal business intelligence, identifying the key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics required by leadership to evaluate the health of the CPS ecosystem.

  • Build & Manage Dashboards: Design, develop, and maintain high-impact BI dashboards that provide real-time visibility into application adoption, service utilization, and centralized cost management.

  • Operational Analytics: Analyze complex datasets across hardware, software, and cloud services to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for operational efficiency.

  • Executive Interfacing: Act as the "voice of the data" for MSI executives, translating technical telemetry into business narratives that showcase the value proposition and progress of the CPS team.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Finance, and Product teams to ensure data integrity and to automate the collection of metrics from various common services like Unified ID and AMS.

  • Data-Driven Roadmap Support: Use internal usage data and market trends to prioritize feature backlogs and influence the broader product strategy.

Qualifications:

Experience: At least 5 years in Product Management with a heavy emphasis on Data Analytics, BI, or Business Operations, plus 5 years of industry experience.

Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker) and experience working with data sourced from cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and enterprise integrations.

Analytical Rigor: Demonstrated success in translating raw operational data into executive-level insights and strategic recommendations.

Communication: Polished presentation skills with the ability to explain complex data trends to non-technical internal stakeholders.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or a degree in Data Science/Analytics is a significant plus.

Collaborative Mindset: A natural consensus builder who can work across procurement, engineering, and sales to unify disparate data sources into a single "source of truth."

We will be accepting applications between 5/15/2026 and 8/15/2026.

Target Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 USD.

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
