Join Merkle’s growing content strategy team! As a Content Strategy Director, you will drive strategic alignment with client business leaders and cross-disciplinary teams by guiding the creation, distribution, and governance of audience-centric content for best-in-class customer experiences. You will also help grow the content strategy capability by establishing tools, documenting best practices, and providing strategic points-of-view to elevate the value of content strategy in service and product design.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver content strategies that support client’s goals, audience needs, and brand strategy, and collaborate with project teams to drive strategic alignment of content throughout the customer experience

· Author content strategy frameworks and deliverables for service and product design projects including, content audits, matrices, content models, content journey maps, site maps, and migration maps

· Partner with experience strategists and analysts to conduct in-depth research to understand audience needs, data insights, and competitive landscapes across industries to inform content goals and KPIs

· Create content governance plans and content supply chain workflows to help clients operationalize and manage content for products and services

· Develop taxonomy, tagging, and metadata strategies for composable content distribution across owned channels and technology platforms

· Be a thought leader for Merkle’s content strategy capability, and contribute to growing the practice by creating repeatable frameworks for use across teams and clients

Summary of expectations:

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7+ years of experience in a strategic content role, preferably within an agency environment

· Ability to drive content strategy while collaborating closely with project teams and client leaders

· Proven success creating strategic content deliverables including content trends and best-practices, audits, content matrices, content models, journey maps, and taxonomies

· Experienced with content management systems and measurement platforms

· Ability to turn data into insights to continuously evolve and refine content strategies/optimization for long-term success

· Excellent communications skills; must be comfortable presenting strong points of view to executive leadership, client partners, and team leaders

· Willingness to be a proactive leader in content strategy and on project teams

Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.

The hourly pay range for this position is $ 73.34 - $ 118.68. The hourly pay rate for the successful candidate is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid holidays in accordance with dentsu policy, as well as safe and sick time. This position is not eligible for any other benefits or other compensation.
