Summary:

The Director of Cybersecurity leads the day-to-day management and execution of Wealthspire’s security operations and engineering programs. This role is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the firm’s systems, data, and technology infrastructure. Key responsibilities include proactive monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and the development and maintenance of secure architecture. The Director of Cybersecurity works closely with technology, risk, and business teams to implement security best practices, mitigate risks, and support business objectives while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

Security Operations

  • Lead security monitoring, incident response, and threat detection across the organization.
  • Manage SIEM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management platforms to ensure ongoing system security.

Security Engineering

  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud, SaaS, and endpoint environments.
  • Oversee identity and access management controls to safeguard systems and data.

Threat Intelligence & Incident Response

  • Coordinate incident response activities, including post-incident reviews and remediation plans.
  • Maintain threat intelligence and vulnerability tracking processes to proactively mitigate risks.

Security Program Execution

  • Support the implementation and enforcement of enterprise-wide security policies, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of cybersecurity experience
  • Hands-on experience with security operations tools, including SIEM, EDR, and identity management platforms
  • Proven experience securing cloud and SaaS environments
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with an emphasis on cybersecurity

What We Offer:

Wealthspire is proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, and more. The base salary range for this position is $115,000 –$125,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
