General Description:

The Director, End User Computing and Mobility is responsible for leading the strategy, engineering, delivery, and ongoing support of end user technology services across the organization. This role oversees the full lifecycle of workplace technologies, including endpoint devices, mobility solutions and virtual desktop environments.

The Director will lead a team focused on delivering secure, scalable, modern, and user-centric technology solutions that improve workforce productivity and enable business performance. This leader will partner closely with infrastructure, information security, service desk, enterprise applications, procurement, and regional stakeholders to define strategy, drive operational excellence, and execute transformation initiatives.

This role demands technical expertise, strong leadership, and the capacity to drive transformation while ensuring end-user productivity, compliance, and innovation in a regulated pharmaceutical and life sciences setting.

Essential Functions of the Job:

Strategic Leadership & Governance

  • Define and lead the enterprise strategy and roadmap for end user computing and mobility services.
  • Build, develop, and lead high-performing engineering and operations teams responsible for workplace technology.
  • Align end user computing and mobility capabilities with business priorities, security requirements, and employee experience goals.
  • Serve as a senior leader and advisor on workplace technology trends, risks, and opportunities.

End User Computing and Mobility

  • Oversee design, engineering, deployment, and support of laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and related endpoint technologies.
  • Lead endpoint management strategy across platforms including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and virtual desktop environments.
  • Ensure effective delivery of device lifecycle management, software distribution, patching, compliance, and endpoint configuration standards.
  • Drive mobility strategy including mobile device management, mobile application delivery, secure access, and user enablement.

Engineering and Automation

  • Establish an engineering-led operating model that emphasizes automation, scalability, standardization, and self-service.
  • Drive modern endpoint management practices using scripting, configuration management, and orchestration tools.
  • Lead continuous improvement of endpoint provisioning, software delivery, policy enforcement, and device health monitoring.
  • Promote platform reliability, performance, and technical innovation across end user services.

Service Delivery and User Experience

  • Ensure high-quality service delivery for end user technology through defined service levels, KPIs, and operational metrics.
  • Partner with service desk and support teams to improve incident response, request fulfillment, problem management, and escalation handling.
  • Champion digital employee experience by gathering feedback, measuring satisfaction, and improving usability and productivity.
  • Lead communication and adoption efforts for new tools, services, and technology changes.

Security, Risk, and Compliance

  • Partner with information security and compliance teams to implement secure endpoint and mobility solutions.
  • Ensure endpoint security standards are met, including patch compliance, device encryption, identity integration, data protection, and policy enforcement.
  • Support audit, regulatory, and policy requirements as they relate to workplace technology and mobile computing.
  • Balance user experience with security and risk management objectives.

Vendor, Financial, and Program Management

  • Manage vendor relationships, product evaluations, licensing, support agreements, and service performance.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization plans related to devices, software, and workplace technology services.
  • Lead strategic programs such as device refresh cycles, operating system upgrades, workplace modernization, and M&A user technology integration.
  • Track and report progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership.

Qualifications:  

  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including significant leadership in end user computing, workplace technology, or endpoint engineering.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience managing technical teams and leaders.
  • Strong expertise in endpoint platforms and management technologies across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
  • Experience leading enterprise-scale end user computing environments in a complex organization.
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint security, identity, device compliance, patching, and software lifecycle management.
  • Experience with modern endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager, Jamf, Workspace ONE, or similar tools.
  • Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure and remote access technologies.
  • Familiarity with digital employee experience platforms, endpoint analytics, and automation tooling. (preferred)
  • Experience in regulated environments (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications in IT service management, endpoint management, security, or leadership. (preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong verbal, written, and executive communication skills.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, engineering or related field

Travel: 

  • 20% or less

Salary Range: $180,200.00 - $240,200.00 annually

BeOne is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
