This team owns the Data Breach Response product in the portfolio of RelativityOne applications. We are at the forefront of Legal Data Intelligence, building technology that helps organizations Organize Data, Discover Truth, and Act on It. You’ll lead the team that builds Relativity’s Data Breach Response product, which is redefining how organizations protect their customers in moments that matter most. We transform massive, fragmented datasets into clarity and action — enabling our clients to respond to breaches with speed, accuracy, and integrity.
As the Engineering Leader for Data Breach Response, you will lead the 35+ person, geographically distributed organization of engineers and engineering managers to deliver crucial strategic and architectural releases for the product.
Our services combine cutting edge AI with best-in-breed data identification and normalization to create impact lists with precision and accuracy. We process thousands of structured and un-structured data files to support companies quickly and efficiently manage their data breach response process.
This is a hands-on leadership role with technical & strategic expectations: you’ll influence architecture, mentor others, you’ll partner with our Product, Sales and Marketing teams to ensure that the features your teams deliver are meeting the market needs and expected timelines ultimately shaping the future of Data Breach Response at Relativity.
This role reports to a Vice President, Engineering. We are open to candidates in authorized US locations and Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario provinces in authorized Canadian locations.

Job Description and Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Work through your teams to design and deliver resilient, scalable and observable cloud-native systems that leverage AI-driven insights and distributed computing to accelerate breach response for our customers.
  • Create an engineering culture that fosters collaboration and excellence and provide clear guidance on strategy and prioritization to ensure your teams are building the right thing the right way within committed timelines.
  • Be a great people manager. and foster a proactive learning environment. Provide specific, constructive, personalized coaching. Contribute meaningfully to the career of your team.
  • Work closely with the talent acquisition team to hire new talent.
  • Champion a customer-obsessed, operationally-excellent culture where performance, reliability and usability drive decisions. Ensure that Data Breach response delivers a seamless, trustworthy experience that empowers customers to act with confidence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing and Customer Support leaders to refine and execute the long-term strategy for Relativity’s Data Breach Response product.
  • Represent Relativity’s Data Breach Response strategy, key product efforts, and teams/functions to internal and external stakeholders, peers and partners at industry conferences, events, and one on one meetings.

What You’ll Bring

  • MS, BS or BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience that includes leading software engineering teams, and at least 2 years as a leader of leaders.
  • Strong business, communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Understanding of software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience with Azure cloud, large data problems, distributed systems and AI
  • A history of building strong cross-functional relationships that help your teams deliver.
  • Exposure to microservices, API-driven systems, and distributed architectures.
  • Deep understanding of engineering methodologies (Agile, CI/CD, DevOps) and best-in-class delivery practices.

Preferred Experience

  • Extensive experience in data breach recovery or related industries.
  • Proven track record of recruiting and growing technical teams.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across global organizations.

Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

$195,000 and $293,000

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
