About MetaTailor

MetaTailor is redefining how digital characters get dressed.

We’ve built a next-generation avatar clothing system that procedurally fits, rigs, and layers 3D garments across any character or platform — all inside a polished application built on Unity. Our tech powers creators, game studios, and AI developers to generate limitless variations of 3D characters, instantly.

We are a hungry, execution-driven team headquartered in Austin, TX. With a core team of <10 and accelerating growth, we are now seeking a Chief Execution Officer (CXO) to build the operational backbone required to scale responsibly and aggressively.

The Role

The CXO is the master of our Big Picture Trello board and operational integrator of the company, translating the CEO’s long term vision for our product into the day-to-day flow needed to achieve that vision.

As the single point of control for execution, this role manages all short- and long-term projects and orchestrates the task flow across the team using a predictable, structured system.

You’ll be responsible for understanding the relationship between various company roles and projects, and turning those projects into specific daily focuses for each team member. To further help keep the team focused, you’ll also act as the receiving point and coordinator for all new to-dos and blocks that come up throughout the work day.

Complete situational awareness is required across product, engineering, design, and operational initiatives, ensuring alignment between roadmap milestones and daily output.

All operational input routes through you. No work is initiated, redirected, or reprioritized without your oversight.

This is a high-impact position with real ownership — ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and lives for structured organization.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with the CEO daily to understand overall product vision and discuss key decisions that must be made
  • Translate long term visions into daily, weekly, monthly, and longer term task lists specific to each team member
  • Maintain clearly defined deliverables and accountability across the team
  • Own cross-functional delivery cadence, ensuring engineering, art, and design pipelines remain synchronized and on schedule.
  • Serve as the operational firewall protecting deep work and shielding leadership from execution noise.
  • Field all incoming ideas, tasks, and concerns from team members throughout the day; Factor these new components into the Big Picture Board on Trello
  • Identify areas for improvement across our team and operations as a whole

Requirements

  • Located within commuting distance of downtown Austin, Texas
  • Hands-on product execution experience within a character development pipeline, real-time 3D production environment, or video game development workflow.
  • Experienced with 3D character development pipelines and character rigging processes
  • Demonstrated understanding of asset lifecycle management: concept → modeling → rigging → integration → iteration → release.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Eager to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability, results-based environment
  • Able to pass reference and background checks

Why MetaTailor

  • Join a high-performance team full of energy and enthusiasm
  • Competitive pay with benefits and stock options available, tied directly to performance
  • Direct impact and ownership within a fast-growing company

Application Process

  • Submit an Indeed application
  • Watch a video from our CEO and send a recorded video response to gauge overall fit
  • Complete a written interview diving into skillset and experience in detail
  • Phone interview to answer additional questions
  • In-person interview with our CEO
  • Reference and background checks are required

We’re searching for the perfect long-term fit for this role, but hope to hire within the next 2 weeks.
