Job Description:

Overview

Epiq Global is a leading provider of technology-enabled legal services, supporting law firms, corporations, and government agencies worldwide. As the Director of IT Infrastructure, you will lead the strategic design, implementation, and management of Epiq’s global infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of systems that support our legal process outsourcing, eDiscovery, and compliance services.
You will drive innovation in cloud and hybrid environments, lead a high-performing engineering team, and ensure infrastructure aligns with the rigorous demands of data security, regulatory compliance, and global service delivery.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Infrastructure Leadership
  • Define and execute a global infrastructure strategy that supports Epiq’s legal technology services and operational goals.
  • Partner with security, compliance, and application teams to ensure infrastructure meets industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance service delivery, automation, and operational resilience.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and mentor a distributed team of infrastructure engineers and architects.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Support career development and succession planning within the infrastructure team.
Cloud & Hybrid Architecture
  • Oversee the design and deployment of secure, scalable infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and on-premise environments.
  • Champion infrastructure-as-code, automation, and DevOps practices to improve agility and reduce operational overhead.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities across global data centers.
Operational Excellence
  • Establish and enforce infrastructure standards, policies, and SLAs.
  • Oversee monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.
  • Ensure 24/7 operational readiness to support mission-critical legal services.
Project & Program Management
  • Lead infrastructure initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Manage cross-functional projects involving security, compliance, and application teams.
  • Track KPIs and report progress to executive stakeholders.
Budget & Vendor Management
  • Develop and manage infrastructure budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Evaluate and manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements.
QualificationsTechnical Expertise
  • Deep experience with AWS, Azure, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking, storage, identity management, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with legal tech platforms, data privacy, and compliance frameworks is a plus.
Leadership & Communication
  • Proven ability to lead global infrastructure teams in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership and influencing strategic decisions.
Strategic & Analytical Thinking
  • Ability to align infrastructure strategy with business and compliance objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of infrastructure engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in legal services, financial services, or other highly regulated industries is preferred. #LI-KS1 #LI-Remote

The Compensation range for this role is 160,000.00 to 190,000.00 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus. 

Your specific salary will be determined based on several factors:

  • Location-based market rate for the role

  • Your abilities in relation to the job specification

  • Performance during screening and interview

  • Pay parity with the wider team in the considered location
