Job Description Summary:

The Director, National Sales- Casey’s position is responsible the Headquarters call point for a national chain with a rapidly expanding domestic footprint.   This position will play an important leadership role in driving innovation and charting the strategic direction with our customers and franchise bottling partners, fulfilling our customer promise through a range of solutions anchored in the Coca-Cola value bundle. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated leader who has relevant experience in sales & customer management leading complex relationships.  

 

The Director, National Sales will have full leadership accountability for the management, delivery, and growth of a comprehensive category portfolio across our bottled beverage platforms.    Working in tandem with an experienced cross functional team, this person will find new opportunities to deliver growth for our customers by executing key commercial initiatives and developing breakthrough programs that complement the customer’s own brand identity and voice. The Director, National Sales will be committed to integrating themselves with our customers by building relationships based on trust and value delivered at all levels within our customers’ organizations. This role will effectively collaborate with Coca-Cola franchise bottling system to develop and implement key strategies and commercial initiatives that deliver joint targets and results 

 

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide strategic thinking and leadership to craft a multi-year business strategy which supports our customer’s growth and business objectives.

  • Lead price package architecture, investment strategy, programmatic development, and division sales alignment on behalf of the System. Effectively negotiate with both customer and system to deliver sustainable winning growth  

  • Activate The Coca-Cola Company System to develop and implement business solutions that meets our customer’s needs and drives customer’s beverage category profit and volume, contributing to overall sales growth for the customer enterprise 

  • Creatively bring custom consumer centric solutions to life, pioneering end to end innovation. Build relationships both internally and externally, based on trust and value delivered at all levels within the customer's and Coca-Cola’s organization  

  • Conduct regular business reviews to build and maintain strong relationships with key members of the customer's organization. Re-affirm strategies linked to the customers’ needs while stewarding business results.  

  • Effectively collaborate with franchise bottlers to execute in market and develop segmented commercial plans to support localized consumer demands 

  • Understand key business drivers. Analytical competency to gather and analyze data (e.g., sales trends, package mix, sales margin), “mining” for new opportunity.    

  • Practice continuous improvement and agile management practices. Measure, evaluate and assess the effectiveness of initiative work on a short and long-term perspective to help refine and inform future strategies.  

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional team members (e.g. marketing, finance, operations)  

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience 

Related Work Experience: 

  • 5-10+ years experience in a consumer packaged goods company, preferably in both customer management and marketing roles 

  • CPG, Brand, Agency, Foodservice, Coca-Cola System, direct customer experience and people leadership are all relevant. 

Travel: 25-35%

Pay Range:

$141,000 - $165,200

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
