We are seeking a Director of Procurement who thrives at the intersection of business strategy, commercial insight, and operational speed. This role is not about adding layers of process or slowing momentum—it’s about enabling the business to move faster, smarter, and with stronger commercial outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive commercial impact: Lead procurement as a strategic business lever, unlocking value through negotiations, partnerships, and category strategies that directly enable growth.
  • Move with speed and precision: Act quickly on business needs, balancing risk management with urgency, ensuring that procurement is an accelerator, not a bottleneck.
  • Partner cross-functionally: Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, and functional leaders to align procurement decisions with company priorities, revenue goals, and innovation agendas.
  • Challenge status quo: Cut through unnecessary process and bureaucracy; design lean, fit-for-purpose procurement approaches that scale without slowing the business.
  • Leverage insights and data: Use market intelligence, vendor analytics, and financial acumen to make decisions that maximize value, optimize cost, and ensure sustainability.
  • Lead and inspire: Build and mentor a high-performing team that combines sharp commercial instincts with pragmatic execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A seasoned procurement leader with strong business and financial acumen, who thinks like an operator, not a process owner, and who can DO as much as LEAD.
  • 12+ years of progressive procurement experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within a high-growth technology company.
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable commercial results in dynamic, high-growth environments.
  • Experience influencing executive stakeholders and guiding procurement strategies that support broader business goals.
  • A track record of balancing speed, agility, and compliance—without falling into red tape.
  • Strategic negotiation expertise with the ability to forge win–win vendor partnerships.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and deliver results under pressure.
  • Demonstrated team development capabilities across global teams and time zones.
  • Familiarity with tools ZIP and NetSuite is weighted heavily.
YOU WILL EXPERIENCE
  • An opportunity to continue the build and scale of a modern procurement function at a rapidly growing technology organization.
  • High visibility and direct impact on strategic initiatives across Marketing, IT, and G&A.
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial culture focused on innovation, accountability, integrity, and excellence.
  • A hands-on culture, with no hierarchy.
  • A solid team in place, and a mature procurement process.
PERKS & BENEFITS
  • We offer Gongsters a variety of medical, dental, and vision plans, designed to fit you and your family’s needs.
  • Wellbeing Fund - flexible wellness stipend to support a healthy lifestyle.
  • Mental Health benefits with covered therapy and coaching.
  • 401(k) program to help you invest in your future.
  • Education & learning stipend for personal growth and development.
  • Flexible vacation time to promote a healthy work-life blend.
  • Paid parental leave to support you and your family.
  • Company-wide recharge days each quarter.
  • Work from home stipend to help you succeed in a remote environment.

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $210,000 - $235,000 USD.

Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits.
