Position Summary:

The Director, Product Marketing is responsible for developing and executing portfolio-wide product marketing strategies across NeoGenomics' diagnostic and testing solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle, including Solid Tumor, Heme, MRD, and future offerings. This role partners closely with Product Management on portfolio strategy and roadmap development, and with Commercial Launch Excellence to ensure cross-functional readiness and successful product commercialization.

The Director is responsible for driving market adoption, protecting and growing market share, and identifying opportunities to expand market demand across the portfolio. This role leads strategic positioning, commercialization planning, and lifecycle management efforts, ensuring each product portfolio delivers sustained growth, competitive differentiation, and measurable business impact.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own product marketing strategy and positioning for the full portfolio, Solid Tumor, Heme, MRD, and future additions, across the full product lifecycle
  • For each product and portfolio, define the strategy to protect current share, grow it, and expand the total market opportunity
  • Given the breadth of the portfolio, set clear priorities for where the team invests time and budget, deliberately choosing what not to pursue to focus on what will move the needle most
  • Define and track the KPIs that measure whether each portfolio’s protect, grow, and expand strategy is working, adjusting strategy and resourcing based on what the data shows
  • Partner with Product Management on portfolio strategy and roadmap, ensuring product marketing priorities inform and are informed by what’s being built
  • Partner with Commercial Launch Excellence on cross-functional launch process and readiness, ensuring Marketing delivers its part on time and to standard
  • Collect voice-of-customer insights at the product level, personally and through the team, informing both portfolio strategy and Product Management’s roadmap
  • Lead and develop the portfolio marketing team (Solid Tumor, Heme, MRD Managers), setting priorities and connecting individual portfolio strategies into one coherent product marketing function
  • Own competitive intelligence at the product level personally and ensure it’s built into each portfolio manager’s ongoing responsibilities, distinct from audience-level competitive intelligence owned by Commercial Marketing
  • Partner with the Director, Market Presence and Influence and the Director, Marketing Operations to align brand, content, and digital support with portfolio priorities, ensuring portfolio managers connect directly with Digital, Content, and Social resources on individual project execution
  • Serve as the connective interface handing off product positioning and messaging to Commercial Marketing for audience-specific activation

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive product marketing experience in healthcare, life sciences, or diagnostics, including direct oncology portfolio exposure with 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience owning a departmental budget, including AOP planning and in-year spend management
  • Demonstrated experience setting strategy and prioritization across a broad, multi-product portfolio, comfortable deciding what not to pursue in order to focus resources
  • Strong track record of influencing product roadmap and strategy decisions through partnership and shared accountability, rather than pure downstream execution
  • Experience working within a structured cross-functional launch process (similar to Commercial Launch Excellence), ensuring Marketing’s deliverables are strategically aligned and delivered on time
  • Comfortable defining and tracking KPIs, using performance data to adjust strategy and resourcing
  • Track record of leading and developing a team, setting priorities across genuinely different product lines and connecting them into one coherent function
  • Experience collecting and applying voice-of-customer insights to inform strategy
  • Diagnostics, healthcare services, or other regulated-industry experience advantageous
