Who You Are

Ontic is looking for a Director of Product Operations to join our Revenue Operations organization. As part of a centralized RevOps organization, this role sits at the intersection of Product, GTM, and Revenue Operations - helping to translate Product needs, roadmap and outcomes into effective/integrated GTM processes and GTM insights into actionable Product team insights & prioritization. Partnering closely with the Product leadership team, you'll own the systems, processes and cross-functional cadences that keep product and revenue teams aligned as we scale.

This is a highly cross-functional, high-visibility role suited for someone who can function independently, build from scratch and operate equally well in a spreadsheet, a roadmap review and a QBR. This is an individual contributor role with the potential to scale and build the function as the company grows.

Responsibilities

Data Fidelity & Insights

  • Consumption Metrics: Partner with R&D to design and maintain product usage dashboards, ensuring client usage data is accurate and actionable for CS, Sales and Product. Identify usage-based expansion and whitespace signals and operationalize them into CS/Sales workflows

  • Performance Reporting: Prepare regular reporting & presentations on business results & key trends to help the leadership team understand how we are tracking to our goals, where there is risk and where there are successes to be replicated - product-level ARR analysis, consumption, churn, renewal rate

  • Pendo Platform Ownership: Serve as a platform administrator for product usage analytics tools (e.g., Pendo), managing vendor relations, renewals, licensing and legal/PII compliance reviews

  • Data Strategy: Define and govern the framework for product tagging in collaboration with Product leadership (e.g., Pendo) to ensure consistency in usage data capture and actionable insights

  • Closed Loop Feedback: Feedback loop to R&D on GTM-led data signals around product - ARR, pipeline, client feedback, churn

Strategy & Alignment

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a "trusted business partner" to Product leadership

  • Roadmap ROI: Enable tracking & measurement of roadmap return on investment (ROI), including ARR coverage and feature adoption curves

  • Product ARR Targets: Collaborate with leadership to set and monitor product-specific revenue targets based on historical trending and expansion analysis

  • Prioritization Signals: Build a structured process for capturing and synthesizing field feedback (win/loss, CS escalations, sales objections, support tickets) into a prioritized input for Product

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build peer support and strong inter-company relationships with other key leaders and partner with them on various projects and initiatives

Operational GTM Readiness

  • Process & Solution Building: Establish and evolve key business processes and cross-functional handoffs to drive efficiency & build for future growth. Act as the intermediary with GTM & R&D teams to help translate initiatives into actionable solutions/processes that fit into existing infrastructure

  • Tool & Data Enablement: Partner with Ops & Enablement to ensure the field has the technical tools and "just-in-time" insights needed for execution

  • Systems Alignment: Maintain & evolve alignment between JIRA & GTM-facing tools/data to ensure engineering efforts are directly linked to revenue outcomes

  • Client Commitments: Establish tracking/reporting for feature requests & roadmap commitments made to clients/prospects & ensure a single source of truth across Product & GTM teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in Product Operations, Revenue Operations, Sales/CS Operations or Product Mgmt, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or “own the function” individual contributor capacity

  • Mature understanding of GTM + client-facing SaaS strategies with experience translating them into system and process requirements that deliver lasting business impact

  • Comfortable being the connective tissue between Product and GTM teams & the ability to translate fluently in both directions - with experience operationalizing impactful system and process requirements that work for both teams

  • Experience at a B2B SaaS company in the growth stage; comfort with the ambiguity and resourcing constraints of that stage

  • Track record of building processes from scratch; this is not a role where the playbook already exists

  • Proven experience leveraging GTM technology & product analytics tools; current tech stack includes Salesforce, Snowflake, Omni, Claude, ChatGPT, JIRA, Confluence, Pendo

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience as a strategic business partner

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
