We are Route

Buying stuff online can get messy once you hit that “order” button. Managing dozens carrier tracking links, dealing with lost or damaged packages, and resolving issues with customer support can feel like a wild goose chase. That’s why we created the Route  — to make the post-purchase experience for consumers like you, and the brands you love, as seamless as possible.

Route is on a mission to connect the world’s commerce. Through our network of millions of Route App users and thousands of merchants, we’re making it easier than ever for consumers to track, insure, and discover their favorite products in one place — which connects the world’s best direct-to-consumer brands to happy, repeat customers.

Since Route launched in 2018, we’ve been on a journey to build innovative products that empower our customers, all while fostering a people-first, values-driven company culture. We’re looking for talented people across the ecommerce space to join us on the next steps of this adventure.

Don’t just take our word for it! Discover what life at Route has to offer.

The team

The Product team plays a pivotal role at Route, creating the strategy and roadmaps that empower our Engineering teams to build innovative products for our merchants and consumers. The Director of Product is a high-impact, executive-facing role reporting to the Chief Product Officer. You’ll directly oversee the Product Management team, and will collaborate closely with Design, Engineering and GTM teams to define and deliver differentiated enterprise experiences that scale.

The opportunity

We’re looking for a Director of Product to lead the strategy, execution and team responsible for Route’s end-to-end merchant-facing ecosystem - with a strong focus on enterprise needs and workflows. This is a highly cross-functional leadership role focused on pre- and post-sales support, demo and trial environments, and internal enablement platforms that ensure Route delivers exceptional value across our merchant base. You’ll also maintain strategic oversight of our consumer mobile applications (iOS and Android) to ensure alignment between shopper behavior and merchant goals.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a product leader who excels in enterprise environments, brings a sharp understanding of how to balance customization with scalability, and has a proven track record of building high-performing teams that deliver meaningful, measurable business impact.

What you’ll do

  • Define and evolve strategy across our merchant-facing experiences and surface areas, aligning product direction with company-level goals.
  • Drive best-in-class execution by ensuring roadmaps are clear, priorities are focused, and your team ships quality solutions that make a measurable impact.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing product team, providing mentorship, clarity, and growth opportunities for Senior PMs and their APMs.
  • Champion a cohesive, intuitive merchant experience across web and mobile surfaces, ensuring Route feels like one unified platform for our brands.
  • Embed AI and data-driven thinking into product discovery, decision-making, and merchant-facing functionality to deliver impactful business outcomes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Design, Engineering and Revenue to deliver solutions that improve enterprise merchant outcomes.
  • Oversee our consumer mobile apps (iOS, Android), ensuring alignment with merchant-facing priorities and providing strategic guidance across teams.

What we’re looking for

  • 8–12+ years of B2B SaaS product management experience, with a strong foundation in enterprise platforms and a track record of building technical, high-impact software across mobile and web.
  • Deep experience in merchant or business-facing products, ideally including admin portals, support tooling, onboarding flows, or sales enablement experiences.
  • Exceptional product leadership and execution skills, with experience owning product strategy and roadmaps while ensuring clear prioritization and accountability across teams.
  • Strong people leadership, with demonstrated success developing PMs at multiple levels and fostering a collaborative, high-performance product culture.
  • Systems thinker with a UX mindset, capable of driving a cohesive, end-to-end merchant experience that feels intuitive, branded, and unified.
  • Data- and AI-literate operator, who uses AI tools confidently in day-to-day workflows and pushes the team to build smarter, more automated solutions.
  • Cross-functional collaborator and enterprise-savvy communicator, who can align Engineering, Design and Revenue partners around business outcomes.

Route is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We embrace diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.
