About this Role:

We are seeking a highly strategic, communication-driven Pursuit Strategy Lead / Strategic Deal Maker to lead the pursuit, shaping, orchestration, and closure of large, complex transformation deals. This role blends enterprise sales strategy, consulting-led pursuit leadership, executive communication, and multi-disciplinary deal orchestration.

Unlike traditional bid management roles focused primarily on process and coordination, this position is designed for a high-impact strategic communicator capable of shaping client perception, aligning internal stakeholders, and building differentiated pursuit narratives that win.

The ideal candidate understands that large deals are not won solely through pricing, delivery capability, or compliance.

They are won through:

  • Audience-centric communication

  • Commercial creativity

  • Pursuit orchestration

  • Differentiated perspectives

  • Persuasive storytelling

This role requires a leader who can transform fragmented organizational knowledge into compelling executive-level messages that shape buying decisions and accelerate client confidence.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Deal Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end strategic pursuits for large, complex, multi-service opportunities.

  • Drive pursuit strategy across sales, consulting, delivery, finance, legal, alliances, and executive leadership.

  • Shape deal positioning early in the sales cycle to influence client thinking before formal procurement begins.

  • Identify and strengthen competitive differentiation against global systems integrators and consulting firms.

  • Develop win strategies grounded in client business drivers, transformation objectives, and stakeholder motivations.

  • Facilitate executive alignment around pursuit direction, messaging, pricing strategy, and commercial positioning.

Executive Messaging & Communication Strategy

  • Build persuasive, audience-centric messaging for strategic pursuits.

  • Translate complex technical and operational capabilities into business-relevant outcomes.

  • Create compelling executive summary narratives that connect transformation initiatives to measurable business value.

  • Develop differentiated Points of View (POVs) that shape how clients perceive business challenges and opportunities.

  • Guide teams in the creation of persuasive presentations, workshops, proposals, demonstrations, and executive briefings.

  • Drive message consistency across all client-facing artifacts.

  • Coach pursuit teams and executives on high-stakes communication effectiveness.

Proposal & Pursuit Orchestration

  • Facilitate solution alignment sessions and strategic storyline workshops.

  • Partner with solution architects and SMEs to simplify complexity without losing credibility.

  • Ensure evidence, case studies, proof points, and transformation outcomes reinforce strategic positioning.

  • Maintain quality control across messaging, narrative flow, and executive readability.

Competitive & Market Strategy

  • Analyze competitor positioning, messaging strategies, and market narratives.

  • Develop pursuit positioning that differentiates beyond technical capability and price.

  • Identify strategic messaging opportunities based on industry shifts, AI transformation trends, operating model evolution, and business disruption.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic pursuits, bid leadership, enterprise sales support, consulting, or transformation strategy

  • Experience leading large, complex, multi-million-dollar technology or business transformation pursuits

  • Proven success supporting or leading enterprise deals in large SI organizations

  • Experience creating executive presentations, strategic proposals, or transformation narratives

  • Demonstrated ability to lead highly matrixed teams under deadline pressure

  • Experience supporting oral presentations, client workshops, and strategic pursuit meetings

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent strategic business experience

  • Consulting background preferred

  • Experience with large-scale outsourcing, digital transformation, AI transformation, cloud, or modernization programs

  • Experience facilitating executive workshops or strategic alignment sessions

  • Familiarity with behavioral economics, decision science, or persuasive communication techniques
