Job Summary: 
We’re seeking a Director, Strategic Accounts to sell our various WebMD Ignite solutions to clients within the payor space. The sales director will have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at generating leads, building relationships, and driving revenue. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills and an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way.
Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and Identify Opportunities: Identify and target potential customers through proactive research and lead generation techniques. Develop a deep understanding of the target market and create a robust pipeline of potential clients.
  • Engage and Qualify Leads: Initiate contact with leads through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, social media, and networking. Qualify leads based on their needs, budget, and purchasing authority.
  • Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospects to gain their trust and confidence. Understand their pain points, challenges, and objectives to tailor sales strategies accordingly.
  • Sales Presentations: Conduct compelling and persuasive presentations and product demonstrations to educate potential clients about our products or services, emphasizing their value and benefits.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Skillfully negotiate contract terms and pricing to secure profitable deals. Close sales and consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Market Insights: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including lead generation, communications, and sales outcomes. 
  • Develop the strategies needed to help clients make informed decisions through a consultative sales approach
  • Utilize Forecasting and business analytical skills to take advantage of opportunities and to expand relationships
  • Build relationships with agency and brand decision makers alike
  • Work closely with internal teams to identify key strategies to maximize impact of clients’ campaigns on the WebMD Health Network
  • Work closely with Sales Planning group to ensure advertising campaigns performance metrics
  • Meeting quarterly and annual sales goals and change sales into revenue
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
     
  • 4+  years sales experience within the digital healthcare  marketing and technology solutions 
     
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
     
  • Ability to be responsible and results driven
     
  • Solid communication skills
     
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce,  Google Suite )
     
  • Experience with within health plan/payer industry strongly desired; equivalent experience in a highly regulated industry may substitute
     
  • Knowledge of marketing-related creative process
     
  • Extensive client deal-making experience and a desire to aggressively “hunt” and develop new business
     
  • Excels in an entrepreneurial sales environment with only moderate supervision.  Can handle the complexities of managing a territory with support teams.
     
  • Effectively blends the need to be a brand champion, a data expert, and a client consultant in order to maximize sales
     
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and enjoys working on a team
     
  • Comfortable selling media solutions including programmatic

Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 + Commission
