NVIDIA is seeking a dedicated Director of Workstation GPU System Software to join our dynamic team in Santa Clara, CA. We are leading the GPU workstation market with our NVIDIA RTX Pro products, and in this role you will build the driver software that makes these products successful. This opportunity allows you to lead and innovate within a world-class engineering environment. You will drive the development of next-generation GPU systems that will develop the future of visual computing. The Director Workstation GPU System Software will lead a team pushing the boundaries of possibility, tackling ambitious challenges, and delivering flawless solutions with lasting global impact in industries automotive, healthcare, media and entertainment, movies, architecture, and all areas where professional graphics is needed.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading a team of dedicated engineers to develop and optimize Workstation GPU system software on Windows and Linux, ensuring our NVIDIA RTX Pro products remain at the forefront of technology.

  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, product managers, and quality assurance, to successfully implement and deliver world-class workstation solutions.

  • Defining the technical direction and roadmap for Workstation GPU system software, making strategic decisions to compete effectively in the marketplace.

  • Coordinating the development process, from initial concept through to final release, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.

  • Mentoring and developing team members to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where everyone can do their best work.

  • Drive market requirements and participate in technical designs with internal and external partners in the Workstation ecosystem.

What we need to see:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 8+ years proven experience in leading engineering teams

  • At least 15 overall years in a software development role

  • Strong technical expertise in graphics APIs, specifically Vulkan and OpenGL, GPU architecture, system software, and performance optimization.

  • A track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Strong background in Vulkan and OpenGL driver development

  • Experience driving bring up and problem solving of GPUs

  • Experience in the graphics workstation market.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 320,000 USD - 488,750 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
