This SkillBridge position provides transitioning service members with hands-on training in talent acquisition and recruiting operations within a federal contracting environment. Participants will learn sourcing, candidate engagement, ATS management, and compliance fundamentals through structured mentorship, shadowing, and supervised recruiting activities at TechOp.

  • Assist with candidate sourcing using LinkedIn, job boards, and Boolean searches
  • Support resume reviews and candidate pre-screen coordination
  • Maintain candidate pipelines and tracking in ATS/CRM systems
  • Shadow recruiter and hiring manager interviews
  • Help draft job postings and outreach messages
  • Support recruiting documentation and compliance tasks
  • Participate in weekly training and feedback sessions

Requirements
  • Active-duty U.S. service member approved or eligible for the DoD SkillBridge Program
  • Ability to commit to a full-time SkillBridge internship (up to 180 days)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, web-based tools)
  • Professional demeanor and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Background in recruiting including: Experience translating military qualifications to civilian roles, coordinating personnel actions, managing candidate or member records, or supporting onboarding and placement activities is highly valued.
