About the team and the role:

eBay Live is a new way to sell on eBay, where sellers and buyers interact live on video. eBay sellers build buyer trust, expand their customer base, and grow repeat business through consistent and engaging live streams on eBay Live. eBay buyers can view, chat, ask questions, give feedback, vote, and buy online during eBay Live selling.

We are currently in beta stage, and have held a number of livestream commerce events with select eBay sellers in the last few months. As this initiative expands, we are looking for an experienced Program Manager who can join this exciting program and play a pivotal role in driving scale and success! The Program Manager  will oversee the successful execution of various programs including developing and executing strategic initiatives that enhance trust, ensure compliance, and align with regulatory and company policies. This role will play a crucial role in coordinating between multiple departments, ensuring alignment with company goals, and driving the timely delivery of projects.

What you will accomplish:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution:

    • Understand business goals, define project scopes and success criteria, and create multi-phase plans to achieve them. Develop comprehensive project plans outlining resources, timelines, and budgets.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships across various teams, including Trust & Policy, Legal, Marketing, and Product teams. Leverage these partnerships to gather insights, influence processes, and propose impactful changes.

  • Innovative Problem-Solving:

    • Think creatively to overcome organizational or technological challenges. Identify opportunities for process improvements, external partnerships, and efficiency gains that contribute to cost and time savings.

  • Program Monitoring & Reporting:

    • Track and report on program progress, including key milestones, risks, and issues. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management to ensure alignment and transparency.

  • Facilitation & Communication:

    • Serve as a bridge between teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective problem resolution. Lead discussions, drive alignment, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Performance Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:

    • Assess program outcomes, gather stakeholder feedback, and implement lessons learned to enhance future initiatives and overall program effectiveness.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in the tech or entertainment industry.

  • Proven track record of managing large, complex projects with cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic thinking skills: ability to deeply understand business goals, explain them clearly to cross functional partners, develop frameworks for success, and cases for investment.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to succinctly communicate complex problems to executive audiences, quantify issues and impact, and develop well thought-through resource asks and potential solutions.
