EDI/XML Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Intermediate
The EDI/XML Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Intermediate provides senior-level technical expertise, analysis, and research for complex information technology problems and processes supporting the IOEE/IOSEE mission. Working with minimal direction, the SME serves as a technical expert on executive-level project teams, provides technical direction and alternatives, develops creative solutions to complex problems, and may function in a project leadership role. The position applies broad knowledge across related IT disciplines, including information systems architecture, telecommunications systems design and implementation, systems integration, security engineering, and communications and network systems management.
*This position is contingent upon contract award.*
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical support, analysis, and research for complex IT problems and processes.
- Serve as a technical expert on executive-level project teams and provide technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives.
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems using independent judgment, ingenuity, and creativity.
- Apply extensive technical expertise and knowledge of related disciplines to support successful completion of major programs.
- Establish technical objectives and execute assignments with minimal direction.
- Provide technical expertise in applicable areas such as information systems architecture, telecommunications systems design and implementation, systems integration, security engineering, and communications/network systems management.
- Communicate complex technical information effectively through strong written and oral communications.
- Provide project or technical leadership when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Years of Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology.
- Clearance Requirements: Secret; High Risk, Critical Sensitive, Tier 5/SSBI investigation at time of proposal.
- Certification Requirements:
- IAT Level III – CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCSP
- Cisco Certified Network Professional-Enterprise (CCNP-E).
- Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA), in addition to the Cisco certification.
Desired/Preferred:
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert-Enterprise Infrastructure (CCIE-EI) certification.
- Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) certification.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
- CompTIA Cloud+ certification.
