The Educational Quality Manager is a member of the education and quality team, supporting initiatives related to education quality such as center accreditation, QRIS compliance, and the effective use of internal and external evaluation tools. The Educational Quality Manager will also contribute to efforts aimed at improving the adoption and implementation of internal programs, curriculum, and expectations. As a member of the team they must be able to work as part of a remote team with shared goals and processes while acting independently to support programs and manage initiatives.

This is a Remote position available in the United States, with a preference for candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone.

Responsibilities:

  • Be an expert on NAEYC accreditation processes and identified quality rating and improvement systems

  • Maintain expert level knowledge on QRIS systems in all states we operate in, as well as licensing criterion related to education and development

  • Support quality aspects of UPK initiatives, anticipating and responding to requirements and ensuring program compliance

  • Serve as a change agent using a variety of methods to improve adoption and fidelity of key education programs, resources, and initiatives

  • Be an expert on all internal and external quality measurement tools and contribute to projects improving field’s effective use of tools

  • Have a high-level of understanding of Discovery Driven Learning program, expectations, and all related resources

  • In partnership with department training teams, build educator and program leader knowledge and skills through communication, support, resource development and other identified methods

  • Take initiative to identify problems, propose solutions, and act with urgency; continuously support ongoing quality improvement processes and practices

  • Provide increased support, on-site and virtual, to identified centers with critical needs

  • Contribute to education and quality initiatives, projects, and pilots as assigned

  • Meet all evaluation, measurement, and reporting expectations

  • Keep abreast of educational trends and research and integrates this knowledge into work

  • Facilitate virtual or in-person training, as assigned

  • Build and sustain relevant internal and external partnerships

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years Leading an accredited early childhood program and maintaining standards or a member of an education quality team

  • Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education, child development, or related field (5 additional years of the experience labelled above would be considered in lieu of a bachelors degree)

  • Must be willing to travel. Travel up to 30% and occasionally unpredictable

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • Successful experience supporting multiple centers across geographies through quality initiatives

  • Strong background in early childhood pedagogy experience leading a program(s) through NAEYC accreditation

  • Working knowledge of national accreditation processes and QRIS

  • Experience coaching or mentoring programs through quality processes

  • Experience with data-informed decision making and problem solving

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent organizational skills, including developing systems

  • Proven ability to collect and analyze data

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills

  • Must be an effective and proven project manager

  • Must be able to balance quality and urgency

  • Must have proven facilitation skills

Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $75,000 – $85,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

Also, depending on hire date and subject to applicable eligibility requirements and accrual schedules, new employees in this role receive up to: 9 paid holidays annually; 40 hours of sick time per year based on full-time schedule, and 120 hours of vacation time per year based on full-time schedule (vacation time may be used for sick leave purposes under any applicable state or local sick or safe time law).
