Key Responsibilities

EHS Communications Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute EHS communication plans that align with enterprise priorities, EHS strategy, and cultural objectives
  • Translate complex EHS, operational, and regulatory topics into clear, compelling content tailored to different audiences
  • Integrate Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles and practices into EHS communications to reinforce learning, leader sensemaking, and systems‑focused thinking
  • Develop leader-ready communication toolkits (prompts, talk tracks, discussion guides) that enable local sensemaking and reinforcement through existing leadership routines.
  • Own execution of EHS communications across multiple channels, including:
    • Written communications (emails, articles, newsletters, toolkits)
    • Presentations and executive‑level materials
    • Digital content (intranet, videos, virtual events, campaigns)
  • Support leader and executive communications related to EHS priorities, performance, and change initiatives

Corporate & BU Communications Liaison

  • Serve as the primary liaison between EHS and:
    • Corporate Communications
    • Business Unit and functional communications teams
  • Ensure EHS messaging aligns with corporate narratives, brand standards, and enterprise communication rhythms
  • Coordinate editorial calendars, review cycles, and approval pathways to support timely, consistent delivery

Content Platforms, Intranet & Governance

  • Serve as a SharePoint site administrator for EHS SharePoint pages and sites
  • Establish and maintain governance for EHS SharePoint content, including:
    • Page structure and navigation
    • Permissions and access controls (content‑level)
    • Publishing standards, version control, and content lifecycle management
  • Partner with Corporate Communications and IT, as needed, to align EHS SharePoint usage with enterprise platform standards
  • Enable EHS leaders and contributors through guidance, templates, and best practices for publishing and maintaining content
  • Ensure EHS intranet content is current, organized, accessible, and aligned with evolving priorities

Content Governance & Quality

  • Establish and enforce standards for EHS communications to ensure consistency in tone, terminology, and quality
  • Review, edit, and quality‑check EHS communication and training‑related materials prior to publication
  • Operationalize repeatable communication processes, templates, and workflows to improve efficiency and reliability

Engagement, Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Support two‑way communication by incorporating employee and leader feedback into EHS communications
  • Track and synthesize “signals of use” (e.g., leader references, reuse/adaptation, questions, and clarification requests) to identify alignment, drift, and opportunities to improve enterprise narratives and leader toolkits.
  • Monitor communication effectiveness and engagement metrics across channels
  • Identify opportunities to improve reach, clarity, and usefulness of EHS communications
  • Benchmark internal practices and external trends to continuously evolve EHS communication approaches

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with EHS leaders, subject matter experts, Legal, HR, Security, and other stakeholders to develop accurate and aligned communications
  • Coordinate with external vendors or creative partners to support campaigns, design, or content development as needed
  • Support special projects and ad‑hoc assignments, as needed, to advance EHS priorities and enterprise initiatives

  • Clear, strategic communicator who simplifies complexity without oversimplifying risk
  • Strong collaborator who builds trust and credibility across functions and leadership levels
  • Detail‑oriented with a high bar for quality, consistency, and accuracy
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and adapting to evolving priorities
  • Execution‑focused, pragmatic, and thoughtful under pressure

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in corporate EHS communications roles
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing communications in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content for diverse audiences and leadership levels
  • Proficiency administering and managing SharePoint sites for internal communications, including page creation, content publishing, permissions, and governance
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence without authority
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and common digital communication tools

Preferred

  • Experience supporting EHS, safety, operations, or other technical functions
  • Working knowledge of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP), including experience integrating HOP principles into safety communications, learning, or leader messaging
  • Experience partnering closely with Corporate Communications teams
  • Experience serving as a SharePoint site owner or administrator for enterprise or functional communications
  • Familiarity with digital engagement platforms, analytics, or employee communication tools
  • SharePoint or Microsoft 365 administrator certification

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
