Job Summary

Aurex is seeking a skilled Wire Harness Designer to support a confidential aerospace project. This role will be responsible for the design, development, and routing of electrical wire harnesses for aerospace applications, ensuring designs meet project specifications and applicable industry standards.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on aerospace wire harness design experience, proficiency with CAD tools, and a strong understanding of electrical systems and components. This position will collaborate closely with engineering teams to develop practical, manufacturable designs and support design reviews throughout the development process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and route electrical wire harnesses for aerospace systems.
  • Develop wire harness designs that meet project specifications and applicable aerospace industry standards.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and other engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and proper system integration.
  • Conduct and participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for design improvements.
  • Ensure wire harness designs comply with applicable industry standards and project requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, reports, and other deliverables related to wire harness designs.
  • Support design updates and revisions throughout the development lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience designing and routing wire harnesses for aerospace applications.
  • Proficiency with CAD software used for wire harness design and routing.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Creo for wire harness design and routing.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations related to electrical and wire harness design.
  • Familiarity with project management tools.

How You Will Be Rewarded

The salary range for this role is $96,000 - $115,000 annually. We offer a comprehensive total rewards approach to compensation, providing incentives and benefits that extend far beyond the base salary. Compensation is determined by the candidate’s work experience, education, training, and relevant skills.
