About the role

We're seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and support embedded hardware platforms used in industrial and outdoor environments. This role spans schematic design, multi-layer PCB layout, power systems, and close collaboration with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing partners. This is not a “paper-only” role — the ideal candidate has shipped real hardware, debugged boards on the bench, and understands how designs behave in the field.

What You'll Do:

As a Electrical Engineer, you will:

  • Design and develop multi-layer PCBs (6+ layers) for embedded systems
  • Own schematic capture, component selection, layout review, and bring-up
  • Route and validate high-speed interfaces (PCIe, USB 3.x, MIPI CSI, Ethernet, etc.)
  • Design and debug power architectures, including:
    • POE/POE+/POE++
    • Solar-powered systems
    • MPPT/battery backed designs
  • Work closely with firmware teams on MCU and application processor integration
  • Support board bring-up, validation, and manufacturing handoff
  • Participate in failure analysis, root-cause debugging, and iterative revisions

What You Bring:
  • 5+ years of professional electrical engineering experience
  • Proven experience with 6+ layer PCB design and production boards
  • Strong background in high-speed signal routing and integrity
  • Experience with MCUs and ARM-based application processors
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Power integrity and sequencing
    • EMI/ESD considerations
    • Board-level debugging (scopes, logic analyzers etc)
  • Familiarity with industry-standard ECAD tools (Kicad preferred; others acceptable)
Bonus Points:
  • Experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms (Orin / Xavier), including:
    • Baseboard design
    • Carrier board modifications
    • High-speed camera and peripheral integration
  • Experience with industrial or outdoor electronics
  • Exposure to regulatory/compliance considerations (FCC, CE, UL)
  • Manufacturing experience:
    • DFM/DFA
    • Contract manufacturers
    • Bring-up in low-mid-volume production
  • Firmware collaboration experience (bootloaders, BSPs, device bring up)

Compensation Range

The base salary range for this role is $120,000-$160,000, plus a competitive equity package.

In line with Andium's values and applicable laws, we share this information to support pay transparency and equal opportunity. Compensation within the listed range will vary based on each candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
