The Embedded Program Manager provides dedicated operational support for Walmart's emergency mass notification platform (AlertMedia). This role partners closely with Walmart's Emergency Communications Team and Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to maintain platform health, support restricted and full administrators, resolve technical issues, and ensure the platform is configured to support emergency operations.

While the Walmart Senior Manager owns the overall program strategy, governance, and roadmap, this position is responsible for the tactical execution and day-to-day upkeep of the platform and serves as AlertMedia's embedded strategic partner for platform governance.

What you get to do every day:

Administer Walmart's Emergency Communications Platform

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day system administrator for Walmart's AlertMedia platform.
  • Manage users, permissions, groups, templates, and platform configurations.
  • Validate user data and organizational structures.
  • Support platform configuration changes and feature enhancements.

Maintain Platform Readiness

  • Monitor platform health and proactively identify operational issues.
  • Conduct routine system health checks and administrative audits.
  • Ensure the platform remains ready to support emergency activations.
  • Validate existing and new associate data in the platform.

Provide Technical Support

  • Troubleshoot platform issues for Walmart administrators and business users.
  • Resolve user access, configuration, and notification delivery issues.
  • Coordinate with AlertMedia Support and Engineering to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and recommended improvements.

Train & Enable Administrators

  • Deliver onboarding and refresher training for platform administrators.
  • Develop and maintain job aids, SOPs, and training documentation.
  • Provide guidance on platform administration and best practices.
  • Support notification exercises and administrator readiness.

Support Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve platform performance and user experience.
  • Assist with testing new features, validating platform enhancements, and deploying new integrations.
  • Support operational readiness and KPI reporting.
  • Support initiatives to import targeted associate data globally.

Partner with Walmart

  • Serve as AlertMedia's dedicated operational resource for Walmart.
  • Partner closely with Walmart's GSOC and Emergency Communications Team.

What you bring to the role:

  • 5+ years in enterprise SaaS, across technical account management, program management, or customer success in a client-embedded or dedicated account capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently at a client site within a large, decentralized, matrixed enterprise organization; experience navigating dual-organization reporting dynamics is a strong plus.
  • Self-motivated and action-oriented, with the independence to operate effectively without daily on-site AlertMedia team presence.
  • Excellent project management skills with proven ability to prioritize competing tasks and stakeholders across two organizations.
  • Comfort with technical platform administration depth (user/permission management, integrations, data validation) rather than pure relationship management.
  • Skilled at applying AI and emerging technologies to synthesize information, improve decision-making, enhance communication, and drive customer outcomes while maintaining strong judgment and empathy.
  • Experience supporting a security, emergency management, or crisis communications function is a strong plus.
  • Ability to pass the required background check and clearance processes across Walmart and AlertMedia.

Location: This is a role that will be based in Bentonville, AR or Austin, TX requiring frequent travel to Bentonville, AR.

Sponsorship: AlertMedia does not sponsor employment visas. Candidates must have existing authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
