Engagement Leader

About Argano

Argano is a digital consultancy that specializes in high-performance business operations, digital transformation, and AI-driven solutions. We help enterprise and mid-market organizations modernize their core systems, streamline supply chains, and improve financial, data, and workforce operations to exceed customer expectations and fuel commercial growth.

About the Practice

Argano’s Pigment practice is building the future of business planning consulting. We combine deep business advisory with cutting-edge technology implementation. Our Engagement Leads are the operational backbone of our pod-based delivery model — they ensure that every engagement is delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality, freeing our Solution Architects to focus on what they do best: solving complex planning problems.

The Role

As an Engagement Lead, you will own end-to-end project delivery for 2–4+ concurrent implementation engagements. You will manage scope, timeline, budget, risk, and client stakeholder relationships. You operate within our pod model, partnering closely with the delivery team to drive execution excellence. This role is critical to our scaling strategy: every Engagement Lead we add unlocks significant billable capacity from our senior technical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own project management for 2–4+ concurrent implementation projects across mid-market, corporate, and enterprise clients
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk; proactively identify issues and drive resolution before they impact delivery
  • Lead client-facing project governance: status meetings, steering committees, and executive reporting
  • Coordinate onshore and offshore team members across time zones, ensuring clear task allocation and accountability
  • Manage change requests and scope adjustments with commercial awareness; protect margin while maintaining client satisfaction
  • Build and maintain project documentation including project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and lessons learned
  • Drive adoption of standardized delivery methodology, templates, and quality checkpoints across all engagements
  • Partner with delivery to optimize resource allocation and utilization across the delivery team
  • Support pre-sales by contributing to SOW development, effort estimation, and project planning for new opportunities
  • Identify opportunities for follow-on work, managed services, and account expansion

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of project/program management experience in technology consulting, professional services, or system implementation
  • Experience managing EPM, ERP, or enterprise SaaS implementation projects; Pigment, Anaplan, or other experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects ($250K–$1M+) on time and on budget
  • Strong understanding of implementation methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid); PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage distributed teams including offshore/nearshore resources
  • Excellent client communication skills with the ability to manage executive stakeholders and navigate organizational politics
  • Commercial awareness: ability to manage SOWs, change orders, and project financials
  • Experience in at least one of our target industries: Life Sciences/Pharma, CPG, or Technology
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Smartsheet, JIRA, MS Project, or similar)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has managed multiple concurrent implementation projects in a consulting or professional services environment, ideally in the EPM, FP&A, or planning technology space. You understand the rhythm of a planning implementation — discovery, design, build, test, deploy — and can anticipate risks before they materialize. You are highly organized but not rigid; you adapt your management style to the client and team. You’ve worked with offshore teams and know how to maintain quality across time zones. You care about people, not just plans.

How You Embody Our Guiding Principles

  • Deliver Excellence: You are the quality backstop; nothing goes to the client that isn’t outstanding
  • Lead & Mentor: You develop junior team members and create structure that helps everyone succeed
  • Be a Team Player: You operate as the connective tissue between client, pod lead, and delivery team
  • Stay Curious: You continuously improve methodology and look for better ways to deliver
