We’re looking for a highly motivated player/coach who thrives in a fast-moving scale-up environment. You bring a metrics-first mindset—cycle time, throughput, velocity—and know how to improve these systems, ideally informed by Gene Kim’s work, like The Phoenix Project. Zello is a voice-first communication platform powered by industry-leading push-to-talk, used by 175M+ people to send 9B messages each month—the #1 rated PTT app in the world. Be running teams with 80% commitment accuracy in delivery projections, Bug SLA turnaround is being met, and employees have high NPS scores.

• Act as a PHP/React/Typescript/jQuery developer for our web application 50% of the time.

• Act as an engineering manager for our developers and QA team members

• Highly motivated player/coach who is excited about working in a scale-up environment.

• You are familiar with metrics like cycle time, throughput, velocity and how those systems can be improved. Ideally you’re familiar with “The Phoenix Project” and/or Accelerate or any work by Gene Kim or constraint theory

• You still very much enjoy being a technical contributor but know how to balance between IC and Managerial work

• You’ve been part of a PagerDuty/On call rotation

• You like being in imperfect environments and leading through change to create positive and productive cultures
