As an Engineering Program Manager – YETI Soft Coolers you will have one of the most critical roles at the company. You will be a member of the Soft Goods team that produces the best-in-class, tough-as-nails soft coolers products that YETI is known for. This role manages the Product Development Lifecycle through the following stages: Initial Charter, Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Launch. You will contribute to guiding our internal teams and manufacturing partners ensuring the successful development and launch of new products on time, on quality and on budget. You will also drive strategic initiatives to support the supply chain of our existing project portfolio. 
 

This role will interface with workstream and business owners within Sourcing, Design, Quality, Engineering, IT, Product, Finance, Legal, Marketing and beyond. It takes strong leadership skills, creativity to solve problems and sharp business acumen competences to bring the team together and continue to deliver exceptional products to our customers. 
 
This role will be onsite in Austin TX 
 

Responsibilities: 

 
• Manage complex cross-functional team deliverables within schedule, budget, and performance requirements 
• Coordinate multiple concurrent programs and their interrelated projects including new products and colors 
• Ensure program requirements are met in areas of features, market introduction, cost, quality, safety, and product performance 
• Support for all business needs related to products pre and post launch including new product development, functional product improvements, increased capacity/throughput, new supplier onboarding, and product EOL (end of life) 

• Support the execution of various go-to-market needs of the Soft Coolers category 
• Successfully lead cross functional teams and stakeholders remotely, across different locations and time zones 
• Manage stakeholder communication timely, clearly & efficiently 
• Maintain adequate documentation such as charter, schedule, budget, action log, and risk registers 
• Assume responsibility for the entire program from start to finish 
 

Qualifications and Attributes: 

 
• Bachelor’s Degree (STEM) preferred or equivalent experience 

 Greater than five (5) years of relevant experience required 
• Working knowledge of manufacturing best practices is a plus (welded, cut & sew manufacturing process experience is preferred) 
• Experience leading new product development in a go-to-market or gate review process 
• Consumer Goods Industry experience highly preferred 
• Innovative and creative problem solver with meticulous attention to detail and a stickler for time management 
• Solid understanding of program management techniques and methodologies 
• Strong leadership and communication skills 
• Self-reliant, able to execute with minimal oversight and guidance 
• Experience facilitating Gate Review meetings and presenting to an executive panel 
• PMP certification is preferred
