Position Overview

We’re seeking a hands-on, visionary Engineering Site Manager to establish and lead our Austin engineering site. This role blends organizational leadership, technical understanding, and strategic execution, offering a unique opportunity to shape both a team and a technology platform.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Site Leadership & Growth

  • Establish and scale the Austin engineering site in alignment with the headquarters in Israel.
  • Define site-level goals, KPIs, and growth plans consistent with company objectives.
  • Serve as the senior company representative in the U.S., ensuring effective communication and collaboration across time zones and cultures.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, including performance management and career development.
  • Foster a strong local culture that reflects the company’s global values of innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between Austin, Israel, and Armenia engineering teams.

Technical and Organizational Execution

  • Drive engineering execution and collaboration across ASIC, SoC, hardware, firmware, and validation teams.
  • Coordinate with global R&D to ensure successful integration of Austin site deliverables into overall product development.
  • Support architecture and design reviews, emphasizing design quality, verification, and efficient ASIC flow execution.
  • Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and technical decision-making processes.

Operations & Administration

  • Oversee daily site operations, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and Legal for U.S. administrative compliance, hiring, and payroll.
  • Implement efficient communication, reporting, and project tracking tools.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, safety standards, and company policies.

Strategy & Communication

  • Report site progress, technical milestones, and hiring updates to executive leadership.
  • Contribute to long-term product and technology roadmaps.

Executive & Strategic Alignment

  • Report site progress, technical milestones, and staffing updates directly to the VP Engineering.
  • Support strategic planning, resource allocation, and alignment between engineering execution and business goals.
  • Represent the Austin site in global leadership forums and contribute to company-wide decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10–15+ years in semiconductor or ASIC/SoC design with technical leadership experience.
  • Proven track record in ASIC development or one of the ASIC flow stages (e.g., RTL design, Verification, Analog Design, Etc.).
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor design methodologies and project execution.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and scripting (e.g., Python, TCL, or C/C++).
  • Startup experience or ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire technical excellence.
  • Experience establishing and scaling new engineering sites.
