At TerraFirma, we’re redefining how the world moves earth for construction. Founded by former SpaceX engineers and backed by Kleiner Perkins and Bain Capital Ventures, TerraFirma is automating construction to make it faster, cheaper, and safer.

Our Story & Mission

At SpaceX, we were part of the teams that built the largest rocket in human history, launched the largest constellation of satellites ever made, and delivered connectivity to millions of people worldwide. What we learned was simple: infrastructure is everything.

At Starbase, the biggest barrier to launching missions to Mars was not building the rocket. It was how slow, expensive, and complex it was to build the infrastructure around it. We lacked buildings, roads, water, power, communications, and waste management, and constructing them took far more time and resources than it should have.

From a first-principles perspective, that doesn't make sense. It shouldn't be this hard or costly to create the foundations for progress. That’s when we realized something important: the same engineering mindset that enabled us to tackle space exploration and mass manufacturing could be applied to infrastructure. By bringing the principles of simplification, iteration, acceleration, and automation to construction, we can unlock a new era in how the world builds.

Accelerating infrastructure unlocks progress across every domain, creating a self-sustaining engine for tackling humanity’s toughest challenges. The innovations we develop on Earth will lay the groundwork for the technologies that one day make settlement on Mars possible.
Job Overview
We are looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to join TerraFirma’s leadership team. You will work alongside the CEO and CTO as your primary partners, as well as the Chief of Staff, Head of Finance, and Head of Commercial Operations, and you’ll have a real seat at the table in how the company is run.

You will own the operating rhythm of the leadership team, from calendars and travel to board meetings, investor conversations, customer engagements, and job site visits. You’ll have visibility into every part of the business and the context to shape how leadership spends its time.

As TerraFirma grows, you’ll design the systems and processes that define how our leadership team operates. We want someone who sees around corners, raises ideas without being asked, and makes everyone around them better at their jobs.

  • 5 or more years of experience supporting C-level executives or executive leadership teams

  • Proven experience partnering with multiple senior leaders at the same time

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex calendars, travel, and competing priorities with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at every level

  • A track record of handling confidential information with discretion

  • Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, and modern productivity, scheduling, and expense tools

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience at a high-growth startup, especially in hardware, robotics, construction, aerospace, defense, or deep tech

  • Experience supporting board meetings, fundraising processes, or leadership offsites

  • Familiarity with expense management, procurement, or basic finance workflows

  • Experience coordinating travel to industrial sites, field locations, or remote areas

  • A history of building processes or systems that made a team measurably more effective

Additional Requirements
