Job Description

To create high-quality, user-centered design solutions that contribute to the overall success of the product, by leveraging a solid understanding of design principles and user needs. Execute design strategies, conduct user research, and develop intuitive user interfaces.

  • Translate user needs, business requirements into intuitive and accessible design solutions. Understand the product goals to be achieved and ensure alignment of design outputs to achieve these objectives.
  • Develop and deliver user-centered design solutions for web and mobile platforms, ensuring that designs are useable, accessible, and aligned with both business goals and user needs, while aligning to the design methodology and process.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other team members to ensure designs are feasible, align with product requirements, and are implemented effectively.
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes and interactive designs to effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions. Iterate on designs based on user feedback and stakeholder input.
  • Create clear, engaging and visually consistent interfaces in line with brand, design system, technology, and accessibility standards. Apply established design systems and guidelines to create consistent and cohesive design solutions across platforms. Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the design system.
  • Engage in the full lifespan of a product i.e. understand the business objectives, adhere to budget constraints, and seek to identify and address challenges with the current product, keeping in mind the evolution and scalability of the product to suit future business needs.
  • Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with team members and stakeholders for the purpose of the exchange of information. Work closely with Solution SMEs, developers and other designers within agile squads to contribute to product delivery.

Qualifications

  • First Degree, Design Studies, Information Studies or related.
  • 3-4 years demonstrated workplace experience within the area of specialisation.
  • The ability to analyse statistics and other data, interpret and evaluate results, and create reports and presentations for use by others.
  • Able to apply a methodology for understanding and mapping client journeys and knows when and how to develop and use personas.
