Who is Sonar?
Sonar is driving the future of agent-centric software development. As the leader in AI code review and verification, we solve a critical problem: ensuring that software generated by AI-assisted developers or autonomous agents is reliable, secure, and maintainable.
Integrating seamlessly with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and Devin, we help over 75% of the Fortune 100 build trusted, reliable, compliant software. Customers who use Sonar are 44% less likely to report an outage due to AI-generated code.
We believe code verification is the critical missing link in the Agent-Centric Development Cycle (AC/DC). Industry giants like Nvidia, ServiceNow, Booking.com, Goldman Sachs, AstraZeneca, and Ford Motor Company count on us to provide independent, explainable, consistent review and governance of their AI-generated code via products like:
SonarQube: The world’s leading AI code review and verification platform.
SonarQube Foundation Agent: Currently topping the leaderboards for agentic software repair.
SonarSweep & Sonar Context Augmentation: Providing the enterprise-grade context and constraints agents need to be truly effective.
Our team operates across global hubs in Austin, Bochum, Dubai, Geneva, London, Singapore, Tokyo, and Washington D.C. We move with a mindset we call CODE:

SonarSource is looking for a Finance Director to serve as the dedicated financial business partner for our Customer Success, Support, and Renewals organization. Reporting into the GTM Finance function, you will work directly alongside the leader of these teams to drive financial transparency, support strategic decision-making, and ensure the organization operates efficiently at scale.
This is an individual contributor role for a finance professional who thrives at the intersection of analytics, storytelling, and business partnership — someone who is equally comfortable building a complex model and presenting insights to a senior leader.
What you'll do
• Act as the primary finance business partner to the Head of Customer Success, Support, and Renewals, providing proactive financial guidance and decision support
• Own the annual planning, monthly and quarterly forecasting, and monthly actuals analysis for all CS, Support, and Renewals cost centers
• Build and maintain financial models tracking headcount, capacity, and operating spend across the organization
• Develop and monitor key performance metrics including gross retention, net revenue retention (NRR), renewal rates, and cost-to-serve
• Partner with Revenue Operations and Sales Finance to align on ARR, churn, and expansion forecasts that flow through renewals
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly business reviews for GTM leadership and the CFO
• Identify financial risks and opportunities; proactively surface recommendations to the business
• Support headcount planning and workforce decisions in close collaboration with HR and GTM leadership
• Contribute to cross-functional finance initiatives including long-range planning and GTM efficiency analysisWhat we're looking for
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience, with meaningful time in FP&A or business partnering roles at a B2B SaaS or technology company
• Direct experience supporting Customer Success, Renewals, or post-sales organizations — you understand the metrics and levers that drive retention and expansion
• Strong financial modeling skills with the ability to build from scratch and communicate outputs clearly to non-finance audiences
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive work forward as an IC
• Highly analytical with a track record of turning data into actionable business insights
• Excellent communication and influencing skills — you know how to tailor a message for an executive and for an operator
• Proficiency in financial planning tools (e.g., Pigment) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets; Salesforce tool experience is a plus
