Who We Want
The Senior Accounting Analyst is a part of the Corporate Accounting team and will be heavily involved in the month-end close process for our U.S. and other subsidiaries, specifically by being responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations, variance reporting, and other key financial reporting tasks and analyses. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient in GAAP, detail oriented, dedicated and embrace the challenges of a growth-oriented environment

What You’ll Do

  • Perform month-end close responsibilities including complex journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accelerate the close process. 
  • Ensure accurate GL coding and cost center assignments for proper financial reporting and trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with AP, AR, Payroll, and Cash Application teams to ensure accurate and timely accounting processes as needed. 
  • Assist with reporting and draft MD&A level commentary for monthly review. 
  • Assist with the creation of professional presentation materials to discuss financial trends and variances with leadership. 
  • Utilize strong GAAP knowledge to ensure compliance, perform technical accounting research, and document findings as needed.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for general accounting processes, document these processes accordingly with SOP creation and maintenance, and recommend and implement efficiencies through automation and best practices.
  • Prepare for and participate in external audit requests as well as tax requests as needed.
  • Create ad-hoc reports and analyses to support cross-functional teams as well as the Finance and accounting team. 
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget. 
  • Assist with system implementations and integrations as identified or needed. 
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and accountants, fostering professional growth within the team.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. MAcc or MBA is a plus. 
  • CPA or CPA-track required.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, or audit. 
  • Audit experience required, Big 4 Audit experience highly preferred. 
  • Experience with NetSuite or other major ERP systems is a plus.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong sense of urgency. 
  • Experience in a high-growth or fast-paced growth environment is highly desirable.
