Position Summary

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial planning and analysis functions and processes within the Finance Department.  This position prepares budgeting & projections, and ad hoc reports for data requests. This is a remote or hybrid role and the FP&A Analyst will report to the FP&A Manager.

The firm has one available position in either Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Dover, OH; Long Beach, CA; or Portland, OR. Some positions at Novogradac may be open to remote or hybrid work arrangements depending on business needs. Please discuss available options with your recruiter.

Your Contributions and Responsibilities

  • Prepare analytical reports to analyze employee productivity and overall firm performance.

  • Compile and deliver supporting reports in response to partner and principal inquiries.

  • Prepare and update recurring monthly and quarterly financial planning and budgeting reports.

  • Update fixed assets and prepare depreciation reports.

  • Report on complex data points and ad hoc finance analysis reports.

  • Additional duties and projects as assigned.

Your Background and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance plus 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience and/or appropriate balance of education and work experience.

  • Prior experience working in a professional services firm a plus. 

  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload, effectively manage a variety of concurrent and shifting priorities.

  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to gather information, conduct analyses, present findings, and create solutions.

  • Strong computer proficiency, including solid skills in the Microsoft Office suite, in particular with Excel, as well as experience using accounting software systems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Compensation: $70,000 to $95,000 depending on experience.  More is possible if experience dictates.
