Why Weave Exists

At Weave, our mission is to evolve how therapeutic knowledge is captured, transformed, and communicated throughout drug development. We do this by equipping human experts with AI instruments to enable drugs to be brought to patients as rapidly, safely, and inexpensively as possible.

The Weave Platform streamlines regulatory workflows from start to finish by intelligently, creatively, and effectively infusing every step with AI. Together with our customers, Weave is designing and building the AI workbench for the entire therapeutic lifecycle.

The Role & Your Mission

We are seeking our inaugural Forward Deployed Engineer, reporting to our Director of Customer Success. This is a unique and pivotal role that requires a person of uncommon skills and disposition. You will own technical implementation for our customers – configure Weave’s core “Regulatory AI Templates” with a combination of AI and your regulatory experience, lead complex integrations and map data flows, ensure early stage customer satisfaction, and enable customers with the basics of how to lead future configuration projects as they move out of their onboarding phase.

This role is heavily and directly engaged with customers and requires an ability to work effectively and efficiently with LLM prompts to produce high quality scientific/regulatory documents. It entails tight collaboration with customers and Weave’s GTM and Product teams.

What You'll Own
  • Customer template customization: Our core templates are a good place to start, but many of our customers require customization to accommodate their style, brand, modality, and scientific idiosyncrasies. You will work with customers to customize templates to their needs
  • Prompt coaching: Ultimately we want our customers to be self-sufficient in maintaining their templates. You will help them overcome trepidation and develop the ability and structure to do so.
  • Ecosystem integration: You will collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups spanning IT, Regulatory Affairs & Ops, and Medical Writing teams to architect seamless data bridges between Weave and critical enterprise platforms, including systems of record and publishing platforms
  • Handbook creation: You will document best practices and situational tips for technical implementation for internal and external purposes.
What You’ll Bring
  • Prompt Artist and Pragmatist: You have experience building repeatable prompt/template systems (not one-off chats), evaluating output quality systematically, you know how to effectively manage failure modes (hallucination, context limits) in high-stakes regulated documents.
  • Technical System Connector: You possess practical experience navigating REST APIs and Webhooks. You can parse API documentation, validate endpoints, and master various authentication flows with ease.
  • Scientifically Conversant: You’ve got scientific wherewithal. You’ve been involved with drug development, you’re an SME in something, and what you don’t know you can pick up quickly. You know what these mean: CMC, CSR, HAQ, ICH, IND, NDA, eCTD.
  • Customer Lover: You thrive on working with customers, helping them solve their problems, and finding success.
  • Outstanding Educator and Communicator: Educating isn’t a chore for you, it’s a joy. You love to see people “get it” and enjoy the craft of figuring out how to help them get there.
  • Builder: You relish uncharted territory and yearn to build a cabin in it (figuratively speaking).
  • 5+ years experience in B2B SaaS or in bio industries (e.g., drug co., CRO/CDMO), ideally in technical/software roles
  • Experience serving therapeutics, life science, or bio markets strongly preferred
  • Drug-related (e.g., bio, chem) education preferred, advanced degree ideal
