Founding Enterprise Sales Lead — Voidhawk

ZioSec · Full-time · Remote · Denver/Boulder area preferred

Build the sales motion behind Voidhawk

Voidhawk has early traction. We’re looking for an ambitious enterprise security seller who can turn that traction into a repeatable sales process while personally winning customers.

You’ll work directly with the founder as our first sales hire. This is a quota-carrying individual-contributor role with the opportunity to grow into sales leadership through results. You don’t need to have managed a sales organization; you do need evidence that you can originate opportunities, navigate complex buying processes, and close.

Our customers take their web infrastructure seriously because downtime costs them money. Experience selling network or application security, application delivery, or cloud-native infrastructure into those environments will be especially valuable.

What you’ll own

• Run the complete sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, qualification, technical evaluation, business case, negotiation, procurement, and close.

• Advance our existing traction and build your own pipeline without an SDR, BDR, or AE team supporting you.

• Build relationships across security, platform engineering, infrastructure, executive leadership, finance, legal, and procurement.

• Partner with the founder and technical team on evaluations with clear success criteria, decision owners, and a path to purchase.

• Sharpen our ideal customer profile, messaging, qualification, competitive positioning, and account strategy.

• Create the operating discipline that makes sales repeatable: useful CRM records, defined stages, follow-up, forecasts, and a documented playbook.

• Bring customer and market feedback into product decisions.

An AI-enabled way of selling

We expect AI to handle much of the research, preparation, and administrative work that traditionally requires a larger sales support team. You’ll use it for account research, prioritization, outreach preparation, meeting preparation, call analysis, follow-up, proposal preparation, and CRM workflows.

You remain accountable for accuracy, judgment, customer relationships, and outcomes. We’re looking for someone curious enough to experiment and disciplined enough to evaluate what actually works.

What you bring

• A record of personally closing complex enterprise deals in security or technical infrastructure.

• Evidence that you can create pipeline and win business through your own efforts.

• Relevant experience in areas such as network security, WAF/DDoS protection, CDNs, Kubernetes, ingress, reverse proxies, API security, or application delivery. You don’t need expertise in every category.

• Experience selling to businesses where web availability and performance have meaningful financial consequences.

• The ability to connect technical requirements to business risk and value, and earn credibility with both engineers and executives.

• Initiative, persistence, coachability, clear writing, and reliable follow-through.

• Practical experience using AI in your work, or the ability to demonstrate how you would use it thoughtfully in this role.

• Interest in building a process, testing assumptions, and improving how you and the company sell.

What success looks like

In your first 90 days, you’ll learn the product and market, take ownership of active opportunities, establish an outbound approach, and create a clear sales operating rhythm with the founder.

Over the first year, success means closed business, a credible pipeline, a sharper understanding of our best customers, and a repeatable process that is documented and improving. We’ll calibrate ramp expectations and quota to the existing pipeline and actual buying cycle.

Compensation and benefits

Annual base salary: $140,000–$160,000 USD.

Annual on-target earnings: $280,000–$320,000 USD at 100% quota attainment, including base salary and target commissions. Commissions are uncapped. Equity participation is also included; OTE does not include equity and is not guaranteed earnings.

Benefits: health insurance and unlimited vacation, plus equity participation.

Work arrangement: remote, with Denver/Boulder-area candidates preferred.
