About the Position:
Qumulo is growing our global Media, Entertainment, Gaming, and Sports business, and we're looking for an experienced leader for our MEGS sales team.

In this role you'll set the go-to-market plan for the vertical while stay in the deals as a player-coach, working with your reps in front of CTOs and the broadcast, production, and infrastructure leaders who buy at studios, broadcasters, post houses, sports leagues, and teams.

As our Global Client Director for MEGS, you will:

  • Own and grow the global number for our Media, Entertainment, Gaming, and Sports business, including the forecast, the coverage model, and the headcount plan.

  • Manage our MEGS vertical as if it was your own business, down to the P&L

  • Hire, retain, and coach a small team of senior account executives working through long enterprise sales cycles in a niche space

  • Build and grow executive relationships at studios, broadcasters, leagues, and teams, and sell as a player-coach on new-logo pursuits

  • Drive complex HW/SW, cloud, and hybrid cloud sales involving OEMs, resellers, and cloud partners.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to align customer needs with the roadmap and run targeted account-based marketing.

  • Be the face of Qumulo in the MEGS vertical and at industry events such as NAB, SVG, and SMPTE.

And our ideal Global Client Director will have:

  • 10+ years experience selling complex technology (such as storage, cloud, infrastructure, data management or data protection, video, streaming, broadcast, or media asset management) into sports, media, broadcast, entertainment, or production organizations.

  • Direct experience managing high-performance sales teams with a hands-on, player/coach model, including a track record of beating quotas

  • A track record of landing major new logos through generated demand, not just partner-led or inbound pipelines.

  • Fluency in how broadcast and production environments actually work, from ingest to playback, ideally with a focus on media workflows.

  • Existing relationships with global media, entertainment, sports leagues or teams, or broadcast organizations

  • The ability to travel across North America and globally for customer meetings and industry events.

  • Bonus points for being active in NAB, SVG, or SMPTE, and/or having sold file or unstructured data storage solutions

The annual On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this role is $400,000 - $500,000 USD on an uncapped commission plan that leads the industry. Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience and skills.
