The Opportunity...
Commvault is seeking a Director of Global Emerging Strategic SI Partnerships to incubate and scale a new class of partners across Cloud Service Integrators, Security Solution Providers, and Incident Response (IR) firms. Reporting to the SVP of Global Partners and Channel Sales, this role will be instrumental in accelerating Commvault Cloud Unity adoption with CISOs, Cloud DevOps, and Incident Response leaders across our enterprise customer base.
This leader will identify, recruit, and activate emerging partners that sit at the intersection of cloud, security, data, and AI, while also helping rewire and extend the capabilities of existing SI partners into these high-growth practices. The role combines partner strategy, executive relationship management, and revenue ownership, working closely with Commvault sales, product, and marketing teams globally.
What You'll Do...
Partner Strategy & Incubation
• Define and establish a compelling partner value proposition to recruit and incubate emerging Cloud SIs, Security Solution Providers, and Incident Response partners.
• Identify whitespace opportunities in cloud security, cyber resilience, incident response, and AI-driven operations where Commvault Cloud Unity can be embedded as a strategic platform.
• Build scalable engagement models to move partners from early incubation to revenue-producing GTM motions.
Executive Partner Leadership
• Own and manage senior executive relationships across emerging strategic partners.
• Act as the primary executive sponsor for these partnerships, ensuring alignment on joint strategy, investment, and growth priorities.
• Represent Commvault as a trusted strategic partner to security, cloud, and services leaders within partner organizations.
Practice Activation & Enablement
• Activate security, data, and AI practices within new partners, positioning Commvault Cloud Unity as a foundational cyber resilience platform.
• Collaborate with internal teams to augment and re-wire existing SI partners to expand beyond backup into cyber resilience, security operations, and incident response use cases.
• Drive enablement programs, solution packaging, and joint offerings aligned to CISO, Cloud DevOps, and IR personas.
Pipeline & Revenue Generation
• Drive net-new pipeline and bookings through joint field pursuits with emerging strategic partners.
• Align closely with Commvault field sales to ensure partners are activated in active accounts and priority opportunities.
• Establish measurable pipeline, revenue, and partner-sourced contribution targets.
Strategic Partner Channel Development
• Develop and execute joint GTM plans, including co-selling, co-marketing, and solution alignment.
• Influence partner investment decisions across training, certifications, and dedicated resources.
• Track and report on partner performance, health, and ROI to the SVP of Global Partners and Channel Sales.
• Partner with marketing to develop thought leadership, reference architectures, and customer success stories.
Who you are...
Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in strategic partner management, alliances, or channel development, preferably in cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise software.
• Proven experience building and scaling new partner ecosystems, including Cloud SIs, security solution providers, or incident response firms.
• Strong understanding of cyber resilience, data protection, cloud platforms, security operations, and incident response.
• Demonstrated success driving pipeline and revenue through partners.
• Executive presence with the ability to engage credibly with C-suite, partner principals, and senior field leaders.
• Experience working across global, matrixed organizations.
