Territory and Location
This role is Remote and supports GM Energy's West region dealer territory.
Candidates must reside within the assigned territory and be willing to travel extensively within the region, up to approximately 75%.
Preferred candidate location: Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, or Seattle preferred; other locations within the West region will also be considered.
The Role:
The GM Energy Regional Sales Manager is responsible for dealer-channel sales performance within the West territory, with a primary focus on driving revenue, dealer adoption, and charger attachment through the GM dealer network.
This role works in close partnership with Chevrolet, Buick GMC, and Cadillac brand and field teams to embed GM Energy into divisional go-to-market plans and everyday dealer execution. The Regional Sales Manager translates strategy and insights into territory plans, focus-dealer actions, and field execution, and helps drive the behaviors required to improve charger penetration and attachment.
Success is measured by revenue performance, dealer engagement, charger penetration and attachment rates, and execution of GM Energy programs at the point of sale. This role reports to the Group Manager - Dealer Sales, GM Energy.
What You'll Do:
Territory Performance and Dealer Growth
  • Own sales performance for GM Energy chargers and related solutions across the West region
  • Drive charger attachment and dealer adoption through focused territory planning and disciplined execution
  • Identify performance opportunities by dealer, market, and channel and turn them into clear action plans
  • Monitor results, inspect progress, and adjust priorities to improve revenue and penetration outcomes

Dealer Enablement and Field Execution
  • Act as a trusted advisor to dealers, helping them integrate GM Energy into the EV sales process
  • Reinforce charger-led selling as a core part of the EV ownership experience
  • Support dealer teams in connecting chargers to broader GM Energy solutions, including vehicle-to-home, vehicle-to-grid, and vehicle-to-everything capabilities
  • Increase field effectiveness through dealer visits, ride-alongs, store coaching, and local follow-up

Cross-Functional Field Partnership
  • Partner with GM Field Sales, including Regional Directors, Zone Managers, and District Sales Managers, to align GM Energy execution with vehicle sales priorities
  • Coordinate with brands and internal partners on regional and local go-to-market activities, product launches, promotions, events, pilots, and local campaigns that drive GM Energy outcomes
  • Help embed GM Energy into divisional meetings, field routines, and dealer-facing sales conversations
  • Surface market feedback, execution barriers, and growth opportunities to internal GM Energy partners

Training, Readiness, and Feedback
  • Ensure dealer sales teams are trained and prepared to sell GM Energy chargers and related solutions
  • Manage and train contract resources to support regional sales objectives, dealer engagement, and field execution
  • Reinforce execution standards tied to sales quality, attach performance, and customer outcomes
  • Provide clear, actionable field feedback to improve programs, tools, messaging, and processes
  • Share best practices that can be scaled across dealers and regions

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 4+ years in sales, channel management, dealer operations, or customer-facing commercial roles

  • Strong field presence and ability to influence dealer leadership and frontline sales teams without direct authority
  • Ability to translate complex product offerings into simple, sales-ready guidance

What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Strong knowledge of GM dealer operations across Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac preferred
  • Experience in EV charging, energy, home energy, utilities, or technology-enabled sales preferred
  • Automotive sales experience preferred
  • Experience in a field-based role such as District Sales Manager, Regional Manager, or comparable OEM/dealer-facing role preferred

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as geography of the selected candidate. • The salary range for this role is $105,600-$140,700. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position. • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.

The selected candidate will be required to travel at least 50% or more on a frequent basis.
This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review.
