GENERAL SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to conceive, design, and create all print and digital content for St. Matthew’s House marketing and communications team.  The individual will be responsible for ensuring that all graphic, print and web content is produced to the highest brand standards. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the conceptualization and execution of all tasked projects. 

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Under supervision of Copy and Content Manager, will create all graphic and print deliverables necessary for marketing of      events, programs, and campaign-related marketing endeavors
  • Utilizes creativity and unique concepts to push design aesthetics and final products to new audiences and to keep St. Matthew’s House brand at the forefront of public consumption
  • Organizes entire project scope from pre-production through delivery
  • Understands and is able to create project workflow; ability to multi-task several projects simultaneously 
  • Works with Marketing and Communications Team to ensure brand messaging is consistent across platforms
  • Assists other members of marketing and development team in optimizing content for social media and web.

Requirements

Education: A four-year degree OR 3+ of comparable work experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training. 

Experience: 2-4 years of work experience in graphic design, specifically aimed toward external marketing and brand promotion. 

Well versed in standard print layout parameters, as well as new digital marketing and design tools and standards.

Demonstrated knowledge in all areas of graphic design (print, digital, social media, etc).

Advanced skills with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software

Solid and polished communication skills.

Exceptional communication and inter-personal skills.

A strong desire to work in a mission based organization.

Travel Demands: Standard working hours; Some travel to St. Matthew’s House properties will be required. Valid FL driver’s license and current auto insurance is required. This role is required to maintain primary auto insurance minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury, $100,000 property damage or $300,000 combined single limit. Must be an approved St. Matthew’s House driver.

Confidentiality: Works with confidential information. 

Mental/Visual Demands: Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities.

Physical Demand: Relatively little physical effort is required, however, must be able to move about the facility and possess the manual dexterity required to operate a computer and other business equipment. must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions: Primarily normal office environment. Must be willing to occasionally work non-standard work schedule including nights, weekends, and other unusual hours due to business needs.
