You are the HR partner for the teams that drive our revenue.
Our Austin office is growing to 150+ people, and go-to-market sits at the center of it. The pace is fast, the targets are ambitious, and the managers are hungry for a partner who keeps up. You are that partner. You're in the building every day, in the trenches with GTM leaders and managers, and you know what's happening on the employee side before it becomes a problem.
Employees see you as a trusted advocate. Leaders see you as a business partner who brings judgment, data, and a point of view. You work independently, you build credibility fast, and you grow the scope of your role as the business grows.
What You'll Own- Partnership with GTM leadership. You are the embedded HR partner to our GTM leaders and managers. You know their teams, their targets, and their talent. You advise on hiring, ramp, performance, team structure, and retention, and you bring a point of view before they ask.
- Employee relations. You are the trusted advisor on performance, conduct, and sensitive employee issues. You coach managers through hard conversations, run the documentation, and carry cases from intake to resolution. You advocate for employees while protecting what the business needs, and you know when to escalate to your manager.
- Manager effectiveness. You coach managers to lead better. You use performance data, review cycles, and feedback to spot where managers need support, and you help build the programs and measures that raise the bar.
- Performance and terminations. You partner with managers on performance plans and exits. You prepare them, document the facts, and run offboarding in person in Austin with care and discretion.
- Onboarding for go-to-market. You own the new-hire experience for the teams you support and the in-person welcome in Austin. You make sure new employees ramp fast and feel a sense of belonging from day one.
- Workforce insights. You track attrition, engagement, ramp, and manager effectiveness for your teams and turn them into recommendations leaders act on. You bring the data to the conversation.
- The pulse of the office. You partner with the office manager on Austin culture and programs. You're visible, approachable, and the person people go to first.
- Automation and AI. We run on Rippling, automation, and AI, so your time goes to people, not paperwork. You find what repeats and you improve it.
- 5+ years in HR, ideally as an HR business partner or generalist supporting sales or go-to-market teams at a tech startup or high-growth company
- A commanding presence. Employees trust you and sales leaders respect you.
- Experience handling employee relations independently, including performance management, investigations, and sensitive cases
- The credibility to coach and challenge managers and leaders, and the confidence to hold your ground
- Comfort in a fast, target-driven environment, and an understanding of how sales and customer success teams work
- Data fluency. You build the report, spot the trend, and tell leaders what to do about it.
- Working knowledge of HR policy and employment compliance
- HRIS experience, with Rippling a plus
- Sound judgment on when to decide and when to escalate
- Discretion with confidential information
- Comfort using AI to work smarter
