HAAM Eligibility Specialist (Remote in Greater Austin area)

Temporary Position: end of September – December 2026


Foundation Communities’ Health Coverage Program is hiring a team of HAAM Eligibility Specialists to work with local musicians who are members of the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM). HAAM provides access to affordable healthcare for Central Austin musicians, and this seasonal position offers a wonderful opportunity to help musicians access healthcare. 


Job Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and accurate intake and enrollment assistance to HAAM members by phone
  • Convey accurate knowledge about Marketplace health insurance and HAAM services (training provided)
  • Complete and accurate data entry 
  • Protect confidential consumer information
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience/Skill Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Strong computer skills (including efficiently navigating between multiple programs/windows)
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced virtual environment with accuracy and efficiency
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, team player
  • Ability to work well with a wide range of individualsBilingual in Span

Remote Work Requirements


HAAM Eligibility Specialists will be expected to work remotely but must be based in the Greater Austin area to complete some in-person onboarding and training requirements. HAAM Eligibility Specialists will be provided with the necessary equipment to complete job functions (laptop, headset, extra monitor). Requirements to work remotely include:

  • A dedicated workspace that is quiet and distraction free
  • Reliable and secure internet connection (no public Wi-Fi)
  • Secure storage for computer equipment and materials


Part-time weekday hours are available, The position pays $19/hour. The timeline for this position is October to mid-December 2026 with new hire orientation and onboarding occurring in late-September. There may be an opportunity to transition to a part-time or full-time seasonal position on our tax team from January to April 2027
