We’re looking for a highly collaborative Director of Engineering. You’ll help drive engineering execution, improve delivery operations, and partner closely with Product to turn ambitious roadmap initiatives into scalable, high-quality software. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, leading teams, improving process, and remaining hands-on enough to guide technical direction when needed.


You’ll also play a key role in helping FieldPulse scale its AI initiatives, identifying opportunities for AI-driven product innovation, operational efficiency, and smarter internal development workflows.

What You'll Do: 

  • Lead and improve the software development lifecycle from planning through release
  • Partner closely with Product leadership to translate roadmap priorities into clear engineering execution plans
  • Drive sprint planning, prioritization, delivery management, and cross-functional alignment across multiple engineering teams
  • Help scale engineering operations, delivery systems, QA processes, and development best practices
  • Remove blockers, improve velocity, and create operational clarity across teams
  • Stay connected to the technical side of development with a willingness to be hands-on when needed
  • Mentor engineering leaders and help build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate on the company’s growing AI strategy, including AI-powered product features, automation initiatives, and developer productivity enhancements
  • Ensure teams are delivering scalable, high-quality software that aligns with business goals and customer needs

What We're Looking For:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in software development, including leadership experience within SaaS environments
  • Proven success partnering closely with Product organizations to deliver customer-facing software at scale
  • Strong understanding of Agile development principles and experience leading iterative software delivery
  • Experience managing multiple engineering workstreams in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with tactical execution and hands-on problem solving
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Passion for modern software development practices, emerging technologies, and AI-driven innovation
  • Experience with AI/ML initiatives, automation tooling, or AI-enabled product development is a strong plus
  • Startup or high-growth SaaS experience strongly preferred
