Head of Marketing at Handoff

We're hiring a Head of Marketing to scale Handoff from $10M to $100M+ ARR by building the growth system from the ground up. This isn't a "manage the brand" role. It's a builder role: you'll design and own three growth engines (Content, PLG, and Outbound) in tight partnership with Sales and Product, and you'll hire the team to run them.

In this role you'll own everything from SEO and social content to free trial activation, outbound warming programs, and shared GTM reporting with Sales. You'll install the measurement discipline, operating cadence, and team structure required to make Marketing a durable revenue driver as Handoff adds products and grows into new markets.

This role is ideal for someone who has built growth systems at a B2B SaaS company before. Someone who knows what a real content engine, a PLG loop, and an outbound warming program actually look like in practice, and who wants to own the whole thing at a company that is genuinely reshaping a massive industry.

What you'll do

  • Build the content engine: Launch a scalable SEO + social + video system that educates contractors, drives qualified traffic, and converts demand into trial starts and pipeline
  • Own PLG growth: Improve free trial activation and self-serve conversion through lifecycle programs, onboarding improvements, in-product prompts, and experimentation that drives expansion and sales-assisted upsell
  • Stand up an outbound warming system: Build the programs that educate and qualify target accounts before Sales touches them, increasing Sales-ready conversations and deal velocity
  • Lead GTM reporting: Implement a shared reporting cadence with Sales (ICP clarity, conversion rates, pipeline contribution, lead quality feedback loops) and own the closed-loop learning that keeps both teams aligned
  • Build and lead the team: Hire a high-performing marketing team and install the operating rhythms (planning, reviews, retros) that make Marketing a durable system of record as Handoff grows
  • Tell the Handoff story: Translate complex product capabilities into clear, benefit-oriented messaging that resonates with contractors and strengthens trust across the funnel
  • Market across multiple products: Manage marketing strategy across two products and two markets (SMB and enterprise) simultaneously without losing focus or diluting execution

What you'll do

You've built growth systems at a scaling B2B SaaS company, not just run campaigns but designed the engine. You understand how Content, PLG, and Outbound work together, and you know how to measure what matters. You're as comfortable in a spreadsheet as you are briefing a creative team, and you think in systems, not tactics.

  • You've built outbound demand gen programs from scratch: segmentation, sequencing, copy, targeting, and clean Sales handoffs
  • You've run a content engine end-to-end: audience research, editorial calendar, production workflows, distribution, and SEO (technical + topical authority)
  • You have real PLG experience, including launching and iterating on activation loops, lifecycle messaging, and onboarding improvements in close partnership with Product and Engineering
  • You're fluent in Sales collaboration: ICP definition, playbook building, CRM workflows, lead scoring, and closed-loop reporting
  • You define success before you launch, run experiments fast, and own the dashboards, funnel instrumentation, and weekly review cadences
  • You're a strong product marketing storyteller who turns technical features into crisp, benefit-oriented messaging that earns contractor trust
  • You know how to market to existing users: engagement, expansion, referrals, and community via lifecycle and customer marketing
  • You're ruthless about ROI and resource allocation. You can grow efficiently and preserve CAC payback discipline even while scaling pipeline
  • You operate at the executive level. You set clear priorities, build cross-functional alignment, say no when needed, and install operating rhythms that scale
  • You can manage marketing across multiple products and customer segments simultaneously without losing focus
