Join our Team
At Ericsson Antenna System, everything starts with network performance. And at the heart of that performance is signal distribution.
We are now looking for a pragmatic, people-first leader to head our Signal Distribution department within Product Design. This team develops the signal distribution sub-functions that enable high-performing mobile communication antennas-bringing together mechanical, RF, electronics, and software disciplines into one integrated engineering capability.
You will lead a team of 25+ engineers across offices and labs, partnering closely with technical leads and cross-functional stakeholders. This is a first-line leadership role with real impact: shaping how we develop, integrate and deliver the core technologies that power next-generation networks.
The role is based in Rosenheim, Germany.
You will be responsible
Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, fostering collaboration across mechanical, RF, electronics and software disciplines.
• Manage allocation of work and resources to meet program milestones, quality targets and delivery schedules
• Facilitate ongoing performance management through regular one-on-one meetings, strategic goal setting, constructive feedback, career development planning, and comprehensive performance reviews.
• Coordinate with appointed technical leaders to align technical priorities, remove impediments and ensure consistent engineering practices.
• Own hiring, onboarding, and retention activities for the team, including workforce planning and building bench strength where needed.
• Ensure clear communication with stakeholders in Product Design, Project and Program Management, Systems and Operations; escalate risks and drive mitigation actions.
• Promote and enforce safety, quality, compliance and documentation standards in labs and offices.
• Drive continuous improvement in team processes (development workflows, design reviews, verification, cross-functional handovers).
You will bring
Proven experience in people management (first-line manager) of engineering teams; ability to lead multidisciplinary groups.
• A Master's or University degree in telecommunications, engineering, technology, or an equivalent qualification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable presenting to stakeholders and negotiating priorities with cross-functional partners.
Background or experience specifically with antenna systems, signal distribution, RF front-end components or related products.
• Demonstrated ability to plan work, manage resources, and deliver complex technical projects on time and to specification.
• Experience working with technical leads; able to balance people management with supporting technical decision-making without duplicating technical leadership.
• Problem-solving mindset, ability to identify risks early and implement pragmatic mitigation measures.
• Commitment to developing talent: coaching, mentoring and building inclusive team culture.
• Solid understanding of engineering development processes relevant to RF/mechanical/electronic/software product development and integration is nice to have .
