How-To Geek is looking for News Writers to cover timely, informative technology news in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The How-To Geek team closely follows the tech industry, publishing news, explainers, tips, and guides that help readers understand how technology works and why it matters. Our coverage spans a wide range of consumer and enthusiast tech topics, from hardware launches to software updates and emerging platforms.

Coverage Areas Include:
  • PC Hardware (Networking, Storage and NAS, Components, Peripherals)
  • Operating Systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Software and Applications
  • Mobile (Android, iPhone, Carriers)
  • New Tech (Hobbies, Smart Home, Homelab, SBCs, Cutting Edge)
  • Streaming (Content, Platforms, Audio/Video)
  • Automotive 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Ability to contribute reliably and consistently under tight deadlines
  • Stay up to date on the latest technology news, product launches, and updates
  • Coordinate with the editorial team for assignments and feedback
  • Input work into our in-house CMS according to editorial guidelines
