POSITION SUMMARY

MedRisk is seeking a HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership across our businesses. This role sits at the intersection of people strategy and business execution, to drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and a high-performance culture.

The HRBP brings a global mindset, ensuring that people practices are scalable, equitable, and aligned with MedRisk’s broader international growth ambitions. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on doer who thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic HR Partnership
  • Act as the primary HR advisor to Executive leaders, providing counsel on organizational design, people strategy, and workforce planning decisions.
  • Translate business objectives into HR initiatives that improve performance, retention, and engagement across teams.
  • Partner with senior leadership to proactively identify people-related risks and opportunities, offering data-informed recommendations.
  • Support change management efforts tied to business transformation, restructuring, and/or process improvement initiatives.
Organizational Design & Workforce Planning
  • Lead org design work including span-of-control analysis, role clarity, team structuring, and headcount modeling in partnership with the business.
  • Develop and maintain workforce plans that align talent supply with on-shore and off-shore business demand.
  • Identify capability gaps and partner with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to build proactive pipelines and upskilling programs.
  • Support succession planning for critical roles, ensuring depth across key functions of the business.

Employee Relations & Culture
  • Serve as a coach and resource for managers navigating performance management, team dynamics, and employee development conversations.
  • Lead or support complex employee relations investigations with consistency, fairness, and documentation rigor.
  • Champion MedRisk’s culture and values, driving engagement strategies.
Global Mindset & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Drive execution and awareness of global HR policies, employment frameworks, and people practices ensuring alignment and scalability.
  • Partner with global HR colleagues to share best practices, support cross-border projects, and enable consistency where appropriate.
  • Provide input on global policy review and harmonization.
HR Operations & Analytics
  • Use HR data and analytics to identify trends and share with business to support performance and retention strategies.
  • Partner with the broader HR functions (Total Rewards, Talent, L&D) to ensure seamless delivery of HR programs and services.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and applicable international employment regulations.
QUALIFICATIONSRequired
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–4 years in a dedicated HR Business Partner role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex, high-volume business functions.
  • Proven track record in organizational design and workforce planning, with examples of business impact.
  • Strong employee relations expertise and comfort navigating ambiguous or sensitive situations with sound judgment.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across all levels, from frontline managers to senior executives.
  • Data-savvy: comfortable using HRIS reporting, dashboards, and people analytics to support decisions.
  • Strong understanding of US employment law and HR compliance requirements.
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution in a lean team environment
Preferred
  • Experience in healthcare services, managed care, or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Exposure to global HR practices, international employment law basics, or multi-country team support.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Experience working within a matrixed or multi-business unit organization.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as ADP, Workday, or equivalent systems.
