About the Role

Aptitude 8 is looking to add an HR Data Administrator to our People Operations team! The HR Data Administrator will play a vital role in supporting our People Operations department by assisting with core business system administration, reporting, and maintaining employee information while ensuring data integrity and hygiene across all systems. A Normal Day in the Role…Data Management:
  • Collect, organize, update, and maintain employee data (personal info, employment history, leave, etc.) in core business systems
  • Maintain updated information in systems; assist with data visualization and team enablement
  • Data & personnel provisioning in Salesforce, HRIS and other core business systems including exports, imports, hygiene, and executive reporting. 
  • Ensure data privacy (GDPR, etc.) and adherence to labor laws; manage confidential files
Systems Administration: 
  • Provide oversight of core business systems ensuring accurate data, permissions, and reporting. 
  • Maintain the HRIS system, troubleshoot issues, and provide training to other employees.
  • Set up, review, and troubleshoot new Operations projects and personnel in the project management system. 
  • Troubleshooting any lightweight system bugs, provisioning issues, and connections for team members in core business systems
  • Perform lightweight data audits as needed for continued operational efficiency
  • Identify efficiency projects in and tangential to core business systems 
HR Support:
  • Payroll: compute commissions, bonuses, and deductions; process payroll runs.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws; prepare payroll reports for management and audits.
  • Answer questions, resolve discrepancies, and handle payroll-related issues.
  • Work with HR and Finance to ensure data accuracy in both finance and HRIS systems. 
  • Provide HRIS maintenance and support; confidently and confidentially work within HR systems for maintenance, data updates, and reporting.  
  • Answer standard employee inquiries in a timely manner. 
  • Provide ad hoc HR project support. 

About You:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Finance, HR, or Operations is required. 
  • Understanding of HR and business data and processes. 
  • Experience in Salesforce or comparable CRM, must be familiar with making standard edits and adding new accounts. 
  • Highly adept at Excel including data manipulation, formulas, tables, and pivot charts,
  • Experience in Rippling or comparable HRIS systems; should understand basic data flow, maintenance, and reporting. 
  • Experience processing payroll in ADP, PayChex, FlexPay, or comparable payroll system; must be familiar with standard payroll reporting. 
  • Must have prior experience in a fully remote work environment and feel comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively.  
  • Generally tech-savvy and curious, has fun learning and understanding unfamiliar technology.  

The compensation range for this role is $65-75k, depending on experience and technical level. We recognize that candidates bring a variety of backgrounds and skills, and we’re committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation aligned with each individual’s expertise.
