Compass is recruiting for a Human Resources Coordinator — a self-motivated, energetic partner who wants to grow their career in HR within a fast-paced, culture-first environment.
Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, you will help steward the day-to-day delivery of human resources services to our internal teams, with a focus on employee relations, engagement, satisfaction, and recruitment. - Records & Data Stewardship: Maintain personnel-related records (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates) accurately across paper and database systems, and ensure all employment requirements are met.
- HR Documentation: Help create, prepare, and translate HR documents and support the ongoing revision of company policies.
- Culture Building: Contribute to embedding Compass’s values and culture, and respond to internal and external HR inquiries with timely, courteous assistance.
- Payroll & Benefits: Administer and maintain all aspects of payroll and benefits processing in a timely, accurate manner and in accordance with legislation.
- Onboarding: Support and continuously improve the employee onboarding experience through thoughtful recommendations and implementation.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Support the Health and Safety Committee — helping establish policies, run recurring safety meetings, and conduct periodic assessments — and coordinate annual third-party compliance requirements (SOC, ISO, etc.).
- HR Projects: Support HR initiatives across performance management, legal compliance, and other programs as needed.
Skills and Experience:
- One year or more of Human Resources experience, with good HR administration and people management skills.

- Highly computer literate, with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills, strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Strong communication skills.
- Culture fit: professional, independent, and collaborative — committed to Compass’s Core Convictions and our Humility In, Pride Out philosophy.
