Provide full-spectrum HR support for Carrell Clinic: onboarding, hiring, payroll coordination, benefits enrollment, learning administration, performance reviews, employee relations, terminations, OSHA and legal compliance, and HR coaching.
The essential function of the HR Generalist is to support OrthoLoneStar’s employees and HR team so that all can contribute to the mission and vision of the company. This position is part of a larger HR team and will be responsible for administering all HR functions at assigned locations: onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee relations, job change processing, performance management, and terminations. The HR Generalist will be strategic in implementing changes and facilitating communication for the workforce at the Carrell Clinic division, while also working with the larger HR team on projects designed to strengthen and enhance HR functionality companywide.
Duties
- Recruit as needed and process hiring of employees, including new hire orientation.
- Administer learning systems and assign courses as needed for compliance.
- Educate and help employees enroll in benefits; actively administer open enrollment annually.
- Ensure accurate payroll processing in conjunction with the accounting team.
- Support leadership team in successful employee relations.
- Process job changes and performance management reviews.
- Advise, coach, and train employees and leaders as requested.
- Process and ensure timely terminations in accordance with policy.
- Respond to outside requests for verification of employment including TWC.
- Administer work injury responses and documentation.
- Record and comply with OSHA requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Education/Experience/Requirements
- Entry level position with degree in Human Resources, Business or similar.
- 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Must pass criminal history background check.
- Above-average professionalism with the ability to work well with others.
- Above-average communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
