The Human Resources Generalist will support the full employee lifecycle and serve as a key resource for employees and managers across a variety of HR functions. This role plays an important part in administering HR programs, maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems, supporting employee relations activities, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations.

What You’ll Do

Employee Support & HR Guidance

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers by providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
  • Support employee relations activities by assisting with issue resolution, documentation, and policy interpretation.

Employee Lifecycle Administration

  • Manage employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, employee records management, employee status changes, and offboarding.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding processes, including documentation preparation and system setup.
  • Support recruiting operations through candidate coordination and background check administration.

HR Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain accurate employee data across HR systems including HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and document management platforms.
  • Support HR documentation management, ensuring records are maintained accurately and confidentially.

Compliance & HR Operations

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain required employment documentation, including I-9 and E-Verify records.
  • Assist with maintaining job descriptions and internal HR documentation.

Performance Management & Process Improvement

  • Support performance management processes including review cycle administration, documentation tracking, and manager guidance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.
Experience & Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in Human Resources, including HR operations, employee lifecycle administration, or employee relations support.

Technical Competencies

  • Experience working with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), such as UKG or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with HR technologies including applicant tracking systems, background check platforms, document management systems, and employee engagement tools.
  • Knowledge of employment documentation requirements including I-9 compliance and E-Verify processing.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Soft Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees and managers at all levels.
  • High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills when supporting employee relations matters.

Professional Credentials

  • HR certification such as PHR or similar designation preferred but not required.

Compensation: $36.00 - $43.27 per hour + bonus + benefits
